I’m really curious as to “who” discovered or chose to release these records. I doubt his lawyers did it willingly. Someone, somewhere gave them some kind of motivation or threat. Did Bobulinski know anything? I know hiding these papers is against the law, but since when do lawyers obey the law.

BTW,what happened with Pelosi’s laptopthat was stolen on J6 2020?

Are there more revelations coming out on Bidan Admin heads, senators and congressman? Since it’s winter, an avalanche could happen?

Wait a minute, Pelosi gave a significant raise up to $200,000 a year to “house aides”, this is not congress reps. Are they going to reduce that? I thought the house got a raise in the Omnibus.

Fed employees 4.6% raise for 2023.

Do these idiots ever think about the American people that are suffering under Bidan?

Congress gets pay hike, cost-of-living boost under bills from retiring Democrat

Congressional salaries have been frozen since 2009

December 5, 2022 12:22pm

Members of Congress would get a hefty pay raise, a long-delayed cost-of-living adjustment and a new housing allowance under legislation proposed by Rep. Ed Perlmutter, D-Colo., who is retiring at the end of the current Congress.

Members of the House and Senate have not had a pay raise in more than a decade, in part because of the bad press that follows when lawmakers decide to give themselves more money. In past years, members who are on the way out have been much more comfortable raising the issue, and Perlmutter has three distinct proposals for raising salaries for members who will return next year.

However, even though he proposed the legislation, it appears unlikely that any of them will be considered this year. Democrats in the House and Senate are still working on several last-minute bills this year, including a defense policy bill, overall federal funding levels, possible tax extensions and more.

There has been no public talk about raising member pay, and one House leadership aide told Fox News Digital they were unaware of any effort to pass language on this issue in December.

One of Perlmutter’s bills would tie lawmaker pay to judicial salaries, an idea that could allow members to get raises any time judge salaries increase without having to endure the public criticism that has come with considering a pay bump.

Members of Congress have been paid $174,000 per year since 2009 – members of the leadership team can make nearly $20,000 more, and the speaker of the House's salary is $223,500. In contrast, district judges made $223,400 this year, while circuit judges made $236,900 and members of the Supreme Court make $274,200.

Perlmutter’s bill was described broadly in the Federal Register over the weekend, but that description did not say exactly how judicial salaries would be linked to lawmakers. Perlmutter’s office did not return a request for comment about his legislation on Monday.

Why are House staffers paid more than reps?

Nancy Pelosi raises maximum pay for House staffers to $212K

By Victor Nava

December 31, 2022 12:48am

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Friday ordered that the maximum cap on the rate of pay for staffers in the lower chamber be raised to $212,000 per year.

The move now puts the maximum salary forHouse aides at $38,000 more than what lawmakers on Capitol Hill make themselves.

“As you know, our hard-working, patriotic Congressional staffers are integral to the functioning of the House of Representatives: ensuring this institution can effectively carry out our legislative and constituent responsibilities,” Pelosi said in a letter to her congressional colleagues.

“To that end, we must do all we can to retain and recruit the best talent in our nation — and to build a Congressional workforce that reflects the communities we are honored to serve,” she added.

The outgoing House speaker noted that the pay increase in her order is consistent with recent raises in the salary rate for executive branch staffers.

In 2021, Pelosi raised the maximum salary for House staff to $199,300. The salary cap was raised again in May to $203,700, at which point the speaker also instituted a minimum salary of $45,000 for staffers.

Rank-and-file members of Congress make $174,000 a year. Members of congressional leadership make slightly more, with Pelosi earning $223,500 per year as speaker of the House.

The raise in the salary cap for staff may be one of Pelosi’s final acts as speaker.

Hush money to staffers who worked on J6 Committee??

She is due to give up the speaker’s gavel on Tuesday when the new Republican-majority House convenes.

Canada buys ‘high-priority’ gift for Ukraine

In a first, Ottawa will acquire a NASAMS air-defense system from the US to give to Kiev, defense minister has said

Canada will purchase a National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) from the US in order to donate it to Ukraine, Defense Minister Anita Anand announced on Tuesday.

In a statement that came after the meeting of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and US President Joe Biden in Mexico, the Department of National Defense described the move as “a high-priority donation.” This gift is also expected to become “the first Canadian donation of an air defense system to Ukraine,” it added.

The announcement said that this assistance, valued at about $406 million, comes from the additional $500 million in military aid to Kiev announced by Ottawa in mid-November.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky thanked Trudeau “for helping us to protect our sky” with the NASAMS.

The NASAMS system, which can shoot down missiles, drones and warplanes, will enhance Ukraine’s air defense amid Russia’s attack on its military and energy infrastructure, Ottawa said. Moscow intensified its strikes on these Ukrainian facilities in early October in response to recurring sabotage on Russian soil orchestrated by Kiev.

Ukraine is already operating US-supplied NASAMS, with the Pentagon having committed to send eight such systems to Kiev.

However, in mid-November the combat activities of Ukrainian air defenses sent shockwaves across the entire world and reignited fears of WWIII after a Ukrainian missile fell on a Polish village, killing two civilians. These concerns were underpinned by Warsaw initially blaming Moscow for the incident. Later, however, it conceded that the projectile had been launched by Kiev’s forces.

Kiev clarifies timeline for Patriot delivery

Ukraine could receive US-made air-defense systems by mid-spring, a presidential aide has revealed

Ukrainian forces will be able to start deploying US-made Patriot air-defense systems within months or even weeks, an aide to President Vladimir Zelensky revealed on Tuesday.

During an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vassily Golovanov, Mikhail Podoliak stated that “from one-and-a-half to three months would be required for [personnel] training and logistical delivery of these systems.”

He said Kiev’s forces would probably be able to use Patriots on the battlefield “closer to the start of mid-spring.”

Podoliak noted that two Patriot batteries are scheduled to be sent to Ukraine, with one promised by the US, and another by Germany. “One battery includes eight launchers. Regarding their installation, it is already being worked out how they will be delivered here in logistical terms,” he said.

The presidential aide also claimed that Kiev was holding intense talks over the delivery of the long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), arguing that this would help Kiev to target Moscow’s munitions stockpiles. The US has so far refused to supply Ukraine with this type of weaponry over fears that it could escalate the conflict.

On Tuesday, the Pentagon said Ukrainian troops were poised to start training personnel how to operate Patriot missile systems on US soil at Fort Sill, Oklahoma as early as next week. Between 90 and 100 Ukrainian service members are expected to receive training in this particular location. The Pentagon said the entire process would last “several months.”

Last week, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said Kiev expects Patriots “to be deployed as soon as possible,” adding that the preparation for “the handover of these systems has already started.” The exact timeframe for the delivery, however, remains unclear.

In late December, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov revealed that Washington had assured Moscow that US service members would not be deployed in Ukraine to operate Patriot systems. At the time, the minister noted that this was because the US does not want to get involved in direct conflict with Russia.

Moscow has repeatedly warned Ukraine’s Western backers against supplying Kiev with weaponry, arguing that this would only prolong the conflict. Russia has also denounced the decision to send Patriots to Ukraine as “provocative,” warning thatthese systems would become “legitimate priority targets” for Russian forces.

All US domestic flights grounded after software glitch

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has reported a failure of the crucial Notice to Air Missions System

A software glitch in the US Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) system used to send essential information to aircraft has prompted the regulator to halt all further domestic departures in the US.

The issue affected the Notice to Air Missions System (NOTAM) on Wednesday morning, the FAA said in a statement. This is used to communicate crucial data to air traffic control.

The regulator said the mishap was affecting all flights across the US and that its technical staff were performing validation checks and trying to reboot the system, but offered no indication of how long it would take.

Later in the day, the agency said it had ordered the suspension of domestic departures for several hours, as the system was gradually restoring functionality. The FAA stated that planes already in the sky were not at risk as a result of the NOTAM outage.

Serious issues with flights were previously reported by US media. FlightAware, a service tracking such events, reported more than 2,500 delays and over 300 cancellations of flights traveling to or from US airports.

Two hours after the initial report, the regulator announced that the ground stop had been lifted.

US Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg briefed President Joe Biden about the outage, according to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. There is “no evidence of a cyberattack at this point,” she added.

(What an idiot!)

Wagner group filmed in salt-mine tunnels of embattled Soledar

Earlier, the private military company claimed it had the town under its control

(Anons, would someone convert the videos and post them?)

RT has obtained exclusive footage shot in a salt mine located on the outskirts of the Donbass town of Soledar, which has recently seen intense fighting between Russian and Ukrainian troops. It shows businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin and members of his private military company, the Wagner Group, touring the facility.

In the video a soldier remarks that as the group had been walking for two kilometers, Ukrainian troops were “above our heads,” adding that this was “temporary.”

The mines which gave the Donbass town its name (Soledar means “gift of salt” in English)comprise a giant system of cavernous tunnels. They have an estimated combined length of some 300km and reach hundreds of meters underground.

The production of salt began over a century ago and reached a massive scale in Soviet times. Some of the depleted tunnels were repurposed for tourism and therapy, while others were reportedly used to store a massive stockpile of weapons that the Red Army used during World War II.

According to the video, Ukrainian troops were also using the mines as anammunitions depot. The touring group can be seen passing by a stash of military crates. While one of the soldiers notes that they are empty, similar stockpiles discovered by the unit reportedly contained weapons.

Prigozhin, a controversial Russian entrepreneur sanctioned by many Western nations, claimed on Tuesday evening that the Wagner Group had seized full control of Soledar, with only a pocket of Ukrainian resistance remaining inside the city.

“There is a cauldron in the center of town, where urban fighting is taking place,” he said in a statement released by his company. “We’ll announce the number of prisoners tomorrow.”

On Sunday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky described the situation in Soledar as “very difficult” for his troops, but vowed that they would continue to hold “no matter what.”

Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, citing Kiev’s failure to implement the Minsk agreements, designed to give the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk special status within the Ukrainian state. The protocols, brokered by Germany and France, were first signed in 2014. Former Ukrainian president Pyotr Poroshenko has since admitted that Kiev’s main goal was to use the ceasefire to buy time and “create powerful armed forces.”

Moscow demands that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join any Western military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked.

They say 1% of chinese students are spies, but some estimates are 25%, no way its 1%

“Beijing is leaning on expatriate Chinese scientists, businesspeople and students like Ji – one of roughly 350,000 from China who study in the US every year – to gain access to anything and everything at American universities and companies that’s of interest to Beijing, according to current and former US intelligence officials, lawmakers and several experts.

The sheer size of the Chinese student population at US universities presents a major challenge for law enforcement and intelligence agencies tasked with striking the necessary balance between protecting America’s open academic environment and mitigating the risk to national security.

While it remains unclear just how many of these students are on the radar of law enforcement, current and former intelligence officials told CNN that they all remain tethered to the Chinese government in some way, even if the vast majority aren’t sent to the US to spy.

It’s part of a persistent, aggressive Chinese effort to undermine American industries, steal American secrets and eventually diminish American influence in the world so that Beijing can advance its own agenda, US officials, analysts and experts told CNN.

CIA Director Gina Haspel warned last year that China intends “to diminish US influence to advance their own goals.”

China’s alleged approach to espionage is taking on added urgency as ties between Beijing and Washington sour over trade differences, cyberattacks and standoffs over military influence in Asia.
