Tory MP Suspended After Calling COVID Jabs ‘Biggest Crime Against Humanity Since the Holocaust’

A Conservative MP has been suspended from his party over a post on social media in which he shared the sentiment that COVID vaccinations are “the biggest crime against humanity since the Holocaust”.

Andrew Bridgen, the Tory MP for North West Leicestershire, has been suspended from the Conservative parliamentary party after making a post on Twitter comparing coronavirus vaccines to the Holocaust.

The MP is already said to be serving a five-day suspension from the House of Commons over an alleged breach of lobbying rules.

According to a report by UK broadcaster Sky News, Bridgen has repeatedly made and shared posts criticising COVID vaccination on his social media, with some of these posts claiming that they have been harming people.

However, the MP is said to have “crossed a line” on Wednesday after sharing an article by the website Zerohedge, alongside which he wrote: “As one consultant cardiologist said to me this is the biggest crime against humanity since the holocaust”.

The public representative has now had the Conservative Party whip suspended from him over the post pending an investigation.

“As a nation we should be very proud of what has been achieved through the vaccine programme,” Tory Chief Whip Simon Hart told Sky News in relation to the decision to suspend Bridgen.

“The vaccine is the best defence against COVID that we have,” he continued. “Misinformation about the vaccine causes harm and costs lives.”

“I am therefore removing the whip from Andrew Bridgen with immediate effect, pending a formal investigation,” he went on to say.

The decision will leave Bridgen serving effectively as an independent in the House of Commons until the party whip is restored to the MP, or he makes the decision to join another party.

Bridgen has since deleted the Tweet in question.

Buttigieg: ‘Not Prepared to Rule Out’ Nefarious Domestic or Foreign Attack on FAA Safety Alert System

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that he can not rule out that the FAA safety alert system computer outage causing thousands of fight delays Wednesday morning was a result of a domestic or foreign attack.

Mitchell said, “We have seen domestic attacks on other aspects of our critical infrastructure, power substations. Are we absolutely positive this was not the result of any nefarious activity, either domestic or foreign?”

Buttigieg said, “We’re not prepared to rule that out. There hasn’t been any indication of that. The FBI has spoken to this, and of course, FAA is looking at that as well as they work to see exactly what was going on inside the files that were in the system leading to this irregularly. Again, what I would say is there’s no direct indication of any kind of external or nefarious activity. But we’re not yet prepared to rule that out.

Mitchell asked, “How old is the software? Was it being updated? How long will it take to get it back up and running?”

Buttigieg said, “It’s been used for many years. It’s based on a standard. Every country has a version of this global standard to get this safety message traffic through their aviation system. It is periodically and continuously upgraded and updated.”

Oversight Committee Demands Joe Biden Disclose All Retrieved Documents from Penn Biden Center

Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) wrote a letter to White House counsel on Tuesday demanding the disclosure of all the documents retrieved from the Penn Biden Center that President Joe Biden stashed there, including classified briefings and documents pertaining to Iran and Ukraine dated between 2013 and 2016.

“To assist Committee Republicans in investigating President Biden’s recent mishandling of classified information, please provide the following documents and information no later than January 24, 2023,” Comer stated. The demand did not include a subpoena.

Comer demanded the following documents and information:

1. All documents retrieved from President Biden’s personal office at the Penn Biden Center;

2. All internal documents and communications regarding the documents retrieved from President Biden’s personal office at the Penn Biden Center;

3. A list of all people who had access to President Biden’s personal office at the Penn Biden Center;

4. All documents and communications related to the handling of the classified material by President Biden’s personal lawyers — including but not limited to their security clearance status; and

5. All documents and communications between or among the White House and the Department of Justice or NARA [National Archives and Records Administration] regarding the documents retrieved from President Biden’s personal office at the Penn Biden Center.

Comer is not the only congressional committee chair requesting information about the mishandling of classified information. Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), the chair of the Senate’s Select Committee on Intelligence, demanded a briefing from President Joe Biden’s Justice Department on Tuesday. The requested briefing flies in the face of the media’s decision to downplay the national security breach.

Biden stashed the documents at the Penn Biden Center, which reportedly received at least $54 million in anonymous Chinese donations between 2014 and 2019. Critics fear the Chinese Communist Party could have donated money to gain access to Biden’s classified trove.

The University of Pennsylvania has denied that the Penn Biden Center received any money from anonymous Chinese donors. Yet some experts believe it has. Breitbart News reported:

According to the Washington Free Beacon, some of the funds were given by Shanghai real estate developer Xu Xeuqing, who reportedly has no immediate connection to the university. In 2011, Xu faced corruption allegations in China but was never charged with a crime. An expert on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) at the American Foreign Policy Council, Michael Sobolik, told the Beacon that Xu’s non-prosecution suggests he has a close relationship to the CCP.

On Tuesday, Biden was questioned about the security breach, for which he could not provide any credible explanation.

“I don’t know what’s in the documents. My lawyers have not suggested I not ask what documents they were,” Biden said, noting he was surprised at the discovery.

“I was briefed about this discovery, and surprised to learn that there are any government records that were taken there to that office,” Biden said.

Mike Davis, founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project, called Biden’s claim “nonsense.”

“Biden moved these stolen classified records twice: a. Before January 20, 2017 (left White House) b. After moving into new office in February 2018,” he tweeted. “Biden had these stolen classified records in his personal files. Garland must appoint a Special Counsel.”

Oversight Committee Asks Janet Yellen for Biden Family’s Suspicious Bank Reports

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Wednesday demanded Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen convey bank records from the Biden family business that were flagged by U.S. banks as suspicious.

As Breitbart News reported in April, more than 150 of the Biden family business bank transactions were flagged by U.S. banks as suspicious. Those flagged reports were sent over to Yellen for further review to ascertain if the Biden family was engaged in wrongdoing.

The Treasury Department has a longstanding practice of disclosing the reports to Congress, but the Biden administration has prevented transparency, which raises “questions about a possible effort to hide the Biden network’s suspicious business dealings,” according to the Oversight Committee.

For years, wire transfers have been the tool of choice for money launderers. To mitigate the risks to the financial institutions, suspicious wire transfers over $10,000 are flagged for review. Wire transactions involving more than $10,000 are also to be reported to the Internal Revenue Service.

International wire payments, such as those to James and Hunter, are monitored by the Office of Foreign Assets Control to ensure the money is not a part of corrupt business schemes.

On Wednesday, Comer wrote Yellen asking for the relevant flagged reports.

“We will also examine and make recommendations regarding federal laws and regulations to ensure that financial institutions have the proper internal controls and compliance programs to alert federal agencies of potential money laundering activity,” Comer wrote. “Accordingly, we make this renewed request for certain records and information in Treasury’s custody.”

Comer told Breitbart News in November the bank reports suggest Hunter and James Biden likely committed financial crimes.

“We believe that suspicious activity reports, which are bank violations when the bank notifies the federal government that we’re pretty confident that our client has committed a crime, Hunter Biden and Jim Biden have at least 150 of those,” Comer said. “And I’ve said this before, and I come from a strong banking background, I don’t think there’s anyone in the history of the United States that’s had that many suspicious activity reports.”

Comer is currently investigating the Biden family business for nine potential violations, including money laundering, wire fraud, and tax evasion. The probes are separate from the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into Hunter Biden for tax and gun-related violations.

Recent polling shows a majority of independents want congressional investigations into the Biden family business prioritized.

US Army Explains How To Respond When A Soldier Questions Showering With ‘A Female Who Has Male Genitalia’

Transgender soldiers will be held to the same standards as personnel who serve in their own sex and use the same facilities, including showers, according to Army training materials first revealed in The Wall Street Journal.

Scenarios depicted in the training materials address how to deal with transgender servicemembers who have not undergone sex change surgery using open-bay showers or respond when a member confirms “his” pregnancy.

“Understand that Soldiers who have transitioned gender may remain susceptible to medical conditions associated with their birth gender,” the materials advise.

The U.S. Army has prepared extensive guidance for how to integrate transgender soldiers into its ranks, including instructions for group showers and how to respond to pregnant men, newly revealed training documents show.

President Joe Biden restored an Obama-era directive codifying service for many transgender individuals shortly after taking office in 2021 amid competing judgements about the influence of gender-related psychological issues and medical procedures on a person’s fitness for service. While the number of transgender individuals currently serving is likely small, the training materials, dated August 2021, imagine a variety of problems officers and soldiers might encounter related to transgender members.

One slide in the “Tier Two” training materials addresses how an officer should respond when a soldier approaches “to discuss his newly confirmed pregnancy.” The training materials, first reported by The Wall Street Journal, come in three versions, with Tier One aimed at staff, Tier Two focused on commanders and Tier Three directed at individual units and soldiers.

“Understand that Soldiers who have transitioned gender may remain susceptible to medical conditions associated with their birth gender,” the materials advise.

Soldiers have to accept living conditions with little or no privacy, including in open-bay showers, where women might find themselves bathing alongside “a female who has male genitalia” or vice versa.

“Soldiers must accept living conditions that are often austere, primitive and characterized by little or no privacy,” the slide reads. Commanders can install new privacy features or adjust showering schedules, but no transgender-only spaces are permitted, according to the guidance.

While the Army will pay for a transgender soldier’s gender transition surgery, it won’t provide additional funding to add curtains or shower hooks inside stalls, according to materials labeled “special staff training.”

“Transgender soldiers are not expected to modify or adjust their behavior based on the fact that they do not ‘match’ other soldiers,” one slide in the Tier Three training packet reads. Transgender soldiers will be held to the same standards as others in their claimed gender and will be discharged if medical conditions “related to their gender identity” impede their ability to serve.

In another “vignette,” as the guidance calls them, officers are presented with a scenario involving a soldier transitioning to become female and who is on an Army-prescribed medical plan that includes hormone treatments and is expected to take six months.

FTX Boss SBF Aided Biden's CIA Agenda For Weapons To Ukraine

Here in Part 4 of this series on FTX, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange, whose CEO Samuel Benjamin-Fried steered into bankruptcy by doing the impossible, which is to deplete nearly all its supposedly code-protected accounts, raises a slew of questions that panicked account holders, for instance, at CoinBase that just fired more than a 1,000 employees.

So the question is: Did SBF act alone as a rogue banker or was he run by the Treasury Department with overseas assistance from the CIA? During its final year of operation, 2022, nearly all FTX customer accounts were drained of cash to finance the bogus Aid For Ukraine “charity”, which served as cover for purchasing state-of-art weapon systems from major U.S. defense contractors for shipment by the Biden Pentagon to Kyiv, free of charge, including shipping, training of operators and cost for the first batch of samples, as discussed in this report. As for the political motive of “enlightened imperialism” the bloodshed in Ukraine is directly linked to the bloodthirsty Biden-Obama-Clinton Democrats who orchestrated the vicious Contra Wars in Central America, the illegal invasion of Yugoslavia and the jihadist Arab Spring spree of assassinations and terrorism, and now the vote-rigging to reinstall a thieving-leftist cabal in Brazil.

Do I blame Sam BF for this latest outrage? No, it’s all the fault of the lazy, perverted, doped up brain-dead parasites on freebie “student loans” who followed their marching orders from local Democrat paymasters to vote for Joe Biden, a known crook. The voting age should therefore be raised to 35 to keep this nation solvent and free of debt to the Chinese and Jews.

Who’s upset at FTX?

What is intriguing, another smoking gun so to speak, is a subsequent lack of a loud outcry from FTX account holders who have yet to emerge to pursue a class-action lawsuit against the Bankman-Fried family financial enterprises. As this article series progressed, there arose a growing recognition that FTX and its partnered Alameda Research firm were a Trojan Horse for the Treasury Department and CIA to ensnare wealthy individuals with suspicious sources of income, including the sons and daughters of the Mainland Chinese elite, South American drug lords, rich Americans relocated to tax havens, money launderers and other usual suspects.

Here in Part 4, this autopsy examines how Sam Bankman-Fried paid bribes/klckbacks to the Biden staff and members of Congress for the clearance sale of weapons from the Department of Defense arsenal. This theft is probably not much of a secret among NATO countries or allies in Asia Japan and South Korea, who are keeping their mouths shut and following orders. The gaping hole in military preparedness tempted the “mouse that roared” aka North Korean troublemaker Kim to fire dozens of heavy missiles with impunity and zero challenge from a timid White House. Japan and Taiwan are not Jewish, of course, and therefore not worthy of protection from China, North Koreans and Russians.

Joe Biden and Janet Yellen, whose Brooklyn family is of Polish Jew descent, will have a lot of explaining to do at the Supreme Court in defense of abetting mass murder and committing high treason if the smoking gun evidence, below, is heard in federal court.

Bolsonaro Shares, Deletes Video With Voter Fraud Conspiracy

Former Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro used his Facebook account to share a video of voter fraud conspiracies that echoed the complaints of rioters who ransacked government buildings in Brasilia on Sunday. The video was deleted hours later.

Bolsonaro’s post, made Tuesday shortly after he was discharged from a US hospital, didn’t comment on the video’s claims. But the person speaking in the clip raised questions about the integrity of Brazil’s voting machines and alleged that President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva wasn’t legitimately elected.

Ben Gvir: Israel a democracy, but I understand calls to lock up opposition chiefs

Otzma Yehudit lawmakers defend fellow party member who called for placing Lapid and Gantz in cuffs, saying it was only meant metaphorically, and that other side’s remarks are worse

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said Wednesday that he “really, really understands” a fellow faction member’s call to lock up opposition leaders who oppose the new government — but conceded that it won’t happen.

“No one is going to arrest opponents of the government, we are a democracy and Israel will continue being a democracy, but I really, really understand their feelings,” Ben Gvir said during an Army Radio interview.

His comments came a day after Otzma Yehudit MK Zvika Fogel called for jailing opposition leader Yair Lapid of Yesh Atid, National Unity party leader Benny Gantz, and former MKs Yair Golan and Moshe Ya’alon for their denunciation of the Netanyahu coalition’s plans to overhaul the judicial system.

“When Zvika Fogel wakes up every morning to threats against him and to his country and our country, he has something to say,” Ben Gvir said.

“When [Otzma Yehudit MK] Almog Cohen — who is also threatened by all sorts of anarchists — wakes up and hears about civil uprisings, that things will end in bloodshed, that there will be a civil war — what do you expect,” Ben Gvir said.

Defending judicial reforms, Netanyahu hints at limits on protests against government

PM says no plans to arrest opposition heads, but says protesters blocking roads or comparisons of government to Nazis is unacceptable

Asked about concerns that Israel’s judicial overhaul could harm Israel’s global credit rating, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promises to act responsibly, but hints at limits he will tolerate to protests against his government.

Netanyahu denies that the moves against Israel’s courts undermine Israeli democracy.

“We are not weakening the judicial system, we are strengthening all our systems, democracy and the rule of law that are all dependant on the correct balance between institutions,” Netanyahu says at a press conference presenting his government’s economic plans.

“This balance that we find in all countries around the world has been somewhat broken, as you know, in Israel, and we have to return it in a responsible way and that’s what we will do,” he says.

Netanyahu refers to controversies in the last days where members of his government called to arrest opposition leaders and protesters who block roads.

“If I’m already talking about this I would like to appeal for calm in the public discourse. The state will not be destroyed, democracy will not be obliterated,” he says.

“The essence of democracy is in arguments, not with bullets and shells but at the ballot box and in votes in the Knesset, or parliament,” he says. “We can disagree, in democracy we don’t agree, but in a democracy you reach a resolution even if you don’t agree, but you also have to delineate the limits to the conversation.”

“In a democracy, you don’t arrest the heads of the opposition, and in a democracy, the opposition does not call the heads of government Nazis, and the elected government the Third Reich — you need to calm down.”

More than anything there is no violence, there is no license for violence, and there is no license to block roads or other things that invasively harm the citizens,” he says.

Likud MK tells US envoy that Israel will continue to push for settlement expansion

Edelstein stresses need for building beyond Green Line in meeting with Nides; in phone call, Netanyahu and Modi agree to meet soon; FM sits down with UK minister for Middle East

Likud MK Yuli Edelstein told US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides on Wednesday that the new Israeli government plans to expand settlements in the West Bank, despite the Biden administration’s objections.

“I expressed to the ambassador my clear position regarding the need for construction in the areas of [Jewish] settlement in Judea and Samaria,” Edelstein said in a statement following his meeting with Nides, referring to the West Bank by its biblical name.

“I lived in the Etzion bloc for 28 years… Families there are growing, and their lives cannot be stopped. Construction should continue,” added Edelstein, who also chairs the Knesset’s high-level Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

Edelstein might not set Israel’s settlement policy, but he is part of a coalition that adamantly backs expanding Israeli presence in the West Bank. The guiding principles of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new government state that the Jewish people have “an exclusive and inalienable right to all parts of the Land of Israel,” including the West Bank.

Likud also signed coalition agreements pledging to expand Israeli settlements and advance annexation of large parts of the territory. The latter clause is dependent on Netanyahu’s approval, however, and is not expected to be formally adopted given the premier’s desire to reach a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia, which opposes the controversial policy.

Judicial Watch Sues for NIH Communications on Fetal Organ Harvesting

Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for records of communications of the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Office of Extramural Research about the use of human fetal organs (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (No. 1:22-cv-03051)).

The lawsuit was filed after HHS failed respond to a July 15, 2022, FOIA request by Judicial Watch to the National Institutes for Health (a component of HHS) for:

All communications concerning human fetal tissue between the Office of Extramural Research and any of the following entities: (1) University of Pittsburgh (Pitt), (2) University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, (3) the National Abortion Federation and (4) any Planned Parenthood entity.

On April 16, 2021, NIH sent out a notice informing the extramural research community (researchers outside NIH from across the United States and in some foreign countries who have been awarded grants through the NIH grant program) that HHS was reversing the Trump administration’s limits on fetal tissue research, stating: “all research applications for NIH grants and contracts proposing the use of human fetal tissue from elective abortions will be reviewed by an Ethics Advisory Board.” Accordingly, the notice said, “HHS/NIH will not convene another NIH Human Fetal Tissue Research Ethics Advisory Board.”

“We have already established collusion between the University of Pittsburgh and the NIH over the fetal organ ‘chop shop’ in the University of Pittsburgh paid for with federal tax dollars,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The Biden administration turned the spigot back on for taxpayer funding of this barbarism, and we want the details.”

In February 2020, NIH records showed that the agency paid thousands of dollars to a California-based firm to purchase organs from aborted human fetuses to create “humanized mice” for HIV research.

In June 2020, FDA records showed that between 2012 and 2018 the FDA entered into eight contracts worth $96,370 with Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) to acquire “fresh and never frozen” tissue from 1st and 2nd trimester aborted fetuses for use in creating “humanized mice” for ongoing research.

In April 2021, FDA records detailed the agency spent tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to buy human fetal tissue from California-based Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR). The tissue was used in creating “humanized mice” to test “biologic drug products,” and wanted “fresh; shipped on wet ice” fetal organs.

In August 2021, Judicial Watch and the Center for Medical Progress through a separate FOIA lawsuituncovered HHS documents that revealed nearly $3 million in federal funds were spent on the University of Pittsburgh’s quest to become a “Tissue Hub” for human fetal tissue ranging from 6 to 42 weeks gestation.

In September 2021, Judicial Watch uncovered records and communications from the FDA involving “humanized mice” research with human fetal heads, organs and tissue, including communications and contracts with human fetal tissue provider Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR). Most of the records are communications and related attachments between Perrin Larton, a procurement manager for ABR, and research veterinary medical officer Dr. Kristina Howard of the FDA.

In April 2022, Judicial Watch uncovered records revealing that the Associate Senior Vice Chancellor for Science Strategy and Planning in the Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Jeremy Berg, contacted then-Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Francis Collins, requesting help to combat, “efforts to undermine important science using fetal tissue.” Additionally, the records included a scientific report containing information about grafting human scalp and other tissues onto mice.

Biden’s DOE Funnels $50 Million to Green Energy Company That Sources Materials From China

Energy Department said funding would 'ensure our clean energy future is American-made'

The Biden Energy Department announced in October that a $50 million grant to a lithium battery company would "ensure our clean energy future is American-made." But the company sources its battery materials in China, highlighting the difficulty the administration faces in ushering in any sort of green energy transition without boosting America’s top geopolitical foe.

The Energy Department's lucrative award went to Amprius Technologies, a California-based company that has leaned on Chinese manufacturing. The company built a battery factory in the Chinese city of Wuxi in 2014 after striking a $40 million joint venture with the city's public investment arm, a move that Amprius CEO Kang Sun said at the time would help the company cut costs. Amprius also uses a spin-off company in Nanjing to produce its battery materials, while acknowledging in corporate filings that U.S. sanctions could one day threaten its ability to import those materials.

Amprius's dependence on China reflects the broader challenges facing the Biden administration as it attempts to spur growth in the Chinese-dominated green energy industry. President Joe Biden's so-called Inflation Reduction Act, for example, offers tax credits to electric vehicles made in North America. But starting next year, vehicles that are made with Chinese battery materials won't qualify for the credits, and American car manufacturers say they can't meet the deadline. Ford, for example, plans to use Chinese batteries for its electric Mustang and F-150—models Biden himself has showcased—and the company and others are fighting the rule change.

If the Biden administration applied such a rule to Amprius, the company would also struggle to comply with it. That's because Amprius, according to a December SEC filing, has purchased hundreds of thousands of dollars in "raw materials and development materials" from its two Chinese spin-off companies, Amprius Wuxi and Amprius Nanjing, purchases the company acknowledges "may continue" going forward. Removing China from that supply chain won't be easy: In its December filing, Amprius says such an effort "may not yield immediate results or may be ineffective" and could force the company to increase prices.

An Energy Department spokeswoman said the Amprius grant will help "build a clean energy supply chain here at home" and "increase our national and energy security." Amprius did not return answers to detailed questions on its foreign business dealings and instead pointed the Washington Free Beacon to its corporate announcements webpage.

Biden has long pledged to usher in a "clean energy revolution," a priority he is now putting hundreds of billions of dollars behind through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. That money, Biden says, is supposed to create a "clean energy economy" full of "good-paying, union jobs" that help the United States ease China's iron grip on the green energy supply chain. Instead, in many cases, the Biden administration has used the money to reward companies with deep ties to Beijing.

Three months ago, for example, Biden's Energy Department awarded $200 million to another lithium battery company, Microvast Holdings, which the department called a "majority U.S.-owned company … headquartered in Stafford, Texas." But Microvast, the Free Beacon reported in December, operates primarily from China, and in April, SEC regulators added the company to a list of foreign entities that fail to comply with U.S. auditing requirements.

Such grants have infuriated Republican lawmakers. Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.) has argued that Biden has misused federal funds, telling Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in a December letter that "the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law was ostensibly intended to develop robust domestic manufacturing bases and supply chains free from the predations of the [People's Republic of China]" and that "DOE's actions directly undermine the United States' position in its race against China for technological supremacy."

Former Israeli Intel Chief Says Israel Convinced US to Kill Soleimani

The 2020 assassination brought the US and Iran to the brink of war

Israel’s former military intelligence chief has said Israel convinced the US that Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani posed an “immediate threat” to American soldiers, the same language former President Trump used to justify his assassination at the time, although no evidence was ever provided for the claim.

Soleimani was the commander of Iran’s IRGC Quds Force and was killed in Baghdad by a US drone strike in January 2020. At the time, Tamir Hayman served as the head of Israel’s Military Intelligence Directorate. Hayman told Jewish News that Israel had provided the US with information to convince the US Soleimani posed a threat.

“We supplied the intelligence and shared analysis and over a long period of time they were eventually convinced that Soleimani was an immediate threat to American lives and its strategic posture in the Middle East,” Hayman said.

Trump told reporters at the time of the killing that Soleimani was “plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel, but we caught him in the act and terminated him.” The claim was never confirmed, and according to then-Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi, Soleimani was in Baghdad as part of an Iraqi mediation between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

“I was supposed to meet him in the morning the day he was killed, he came to deliver a message from Iran in response to the message we had delivered from the Saudis to Iran,” Abdul-Mahdi said after the assassination.

Trump’s justification for the assassination later changed, and members of Congress briefed on the killing said the administration provided no evidence of “imminent attacks.” In a legally mandated memo to Congress issued in February 2020, the administration dropped the “imminent attacks” claim altogether.

The memo said the assassination was done to “protect United States personnel, to deter Iran from conducting or supporting further attacks against United States forces and interests, to degrade Iran’s and Quds Force-back militia’s ability to conduct attacks, and to end Iran’s strategic escalation of attacks.”

The series of events that led to Soleimani’s assassination was sparked by a rocket attack on a base in Kirkuk, Iraq, that killed a US contractor on December 27th, 2019. The US blamed the Kirkuk attack on Kataib Hezbollah, a Shia militia the US views as an Iranian proxy.

The US responded to the Kirkuk attack by launching airstrikes on several Kataib Hezbollah targets, killing 25 of the group’s fighters. The airstrikes enraged many Iraqis, and protesters stormed the US embassy. After the embassy incident, President Trump ordered the drone strike that killed Soleimani.

The US never substantiated the claim that Kataib Hezbollah was responsible for the Kirkuk attack. In February, Iraqi intelligence officials told The New York Times that it was more likely that ISIS carried out the Kirkuk attack. ISIS would also have the motive to spark fighting between the US and Iran and the Shia militias as they were previously allied against the Sunni terror group.

The drone strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, who led the Popular Mobilization Forces, a group of mostly Iraqi Shia militias that was formed in 2014 to fight ISIS. The killings enraged many in Iraq and brought the US and Iran to the brink of war, but the standoff was defused after Iranian missile strikes on bases in Iraq housing US troops that didn’t result in any deaths. But to this day, Iran vows revenge for Soleimani’s death.

White House Gives Somalia Millions in Weapons

The US announced a $9 million military assistance package to the Somali government based in Mogadishu. The Joe Biden administration hopes the Somali military will use the weapons against al-Shabaab.

A statement by US Africa Command on Sunday said the package includes heavy weapons and other equipment. “Heavy weapons, equipment included support and construction vehicles, explosive ordinance disposal kits, medical supplies, and maintenance equipment for vehicles and weapons.”

AFRICOM explained the weapons are already in the hands of the Somali military. “Most of the supplies are already on their way to Hishabelle and Galmudug States to support SNA troops,” the press release stated.

Somali Minister of Defense Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur claimed Mogabishu was in desperate need of the weapons. “This support comes at a critical time for our forces as we boost their capabilities to combat al-Shabaab,” he said.

Mogadishu only controls a small portion of the internationally recognized borders of Somalia. The main target for the government is the insurgent group, al-Shabaab, which controls much of the country’s southern regions.

The US claims al-Shabaab is a terrorist group that can be targeted under the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force. However, al-Shabaab rose to power after Washington pushed Ethiopia to invade Somalia in 2006. The group has limited its military actions to the Horn of Africa and has not presented a threat to the US homeland.

The State Department’s human rights report on Somalia found substantial government abuses, including those committed by its military. “Significant human rights issues included credible reports of: unlawful or arbitrary killings, including extrajudicial killings, by government forces; torture and cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment by the government; arbitrary arrest or detention; political prisoners or detainees; serious problems with the independence of the judiciary; serious abuses in a conflict, including reportedly unlawful or widespread civilian harm, enforced disappearances or abductions, torture and physical abuses or punishment, and unlawful recruitment or use of child soldiers…” the report states.

In August 2017, a Somali military operation supported by the US killed ten civilians. Ammunition casings found at the site of the massacre suggest American forces also fired on the civilians. In October, a man from that village carried out a suicide bombing that killed over 600 in Mogadishu. The Guardian identified the massacre as the likely motivation for the attack.

In the first year of President Joe Biden’s administration, the White House rolled back Donald Trump’s drone war in Somalia. However, in 2022, Biden began a return to the Trump-era by increasing strikes in the country by at least 30%. The Biden White House additionally reversed one of Trump’s final policy decisions by redeploying 500 troops to Somalia earlier in 2022.

Panic grips Special Forces community amid investigation into drugs, human trafficking

Panic and fear spread throughout the special operations community at Fort Bragg and Fayetteville, North Carolina as CID and FBI agents investigated members of 3rd Special Forces Group and Delta Force who allegedly were involved in drug and in one instance human trafficking, according to nearly a dozen current and former military sources.

The arrests began Thursday, Jan. 5 and culminated with a 100% recall and accountability formation for 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group yesterday.

It is unknown when the investigation into drug and human trafficking in the Fort Bragg area began, but it is known that the FBI became involved in investigating the deaths of Timothy Dumas and Delta Force operator Billy Lavigne in 2020 when both were found shot to death at a training site on Bragg.

Last week's arrests began with investigators receiving more evidence after an undercover law enforcement officer posing as an underage girl helped arrest a member of 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group back in December. That individual was known to moonlight as a bouncer at a bar in Southern Pines frequented by the Special Forces community, a military source close to the situation explained to Connecting Vets. The Green Beret is alleged to have been pimping underaged girls to the Special Forces community at drug-fueled parties in Southern Pines.

"This is what happens when there is no war, no direction, and an 18-month red cycle with no mission," a Special Forces soldier said. "So dudes are fucking around with young kids and the craziest drugs. All these lives ruined because people are just bored."

Whether the individual rolled on his accomplices or law enforcement ripped the data from his cell phone, it quickly led to the arrest of another Green Beret involved in drug trafficking in 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group.

With the information of additional suspects in hand, CID and military police set up shop at one of the main bottlenecks to entering or exiting Fort Bragg: the Longstreet gate between the post and Southern Pines.

"It was a trail of tears and douche bag cars," said a Special Forces member who witnessed the scene late last week while each soldier stopped for questioning had their vehicle parked along the street.

One of those stopped at the gate was a member of the Army's elite counter-terrorism unit called Delta Force who had recently been picked up by the unit after serving in 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. The Physician's Assistant at 3rd Special Forces Group was also questioned, according to the source.

The dragnet led to the questioning of 15 service members in total regarding drug related allegations, spread across various special operations commands on Fort Bragg.

The drugs allegedly distributed amongst the special operations community include cocaine, ecstasy, fentanyl, fentanyl lollipops, and the "date rape drug" Rohypnol often known as roofies.

"The U.S. Army Special Operations Command is aware of the allegations of drug involvement from Soldiers assigned to USASOC units on Fort Bragg," USASOC Public Affairs Officer Lt. Col. Mike Burns said in a statement to Connecting Vets.

Ray Epps's Jan 6th Interview Gets Even Weirder Than His 'I Orchestrated It' Text.

I went through all 96 pages of it for you. You're welcome.

Ray Epps’s January 6th interview is bizarro-world.

The entire thing reads like an exculpatory public relations effort, replete with assistance from committee members more concerned with helping Epps clear his name than getting to the bottom of his actions that day. But Epps’s interview is even stranger than these “CYA” attempts.

Reps Schiff, Murphy, Aguilar, and Kinzinger were present during the interview finally conducted on January 21st 2022, after months of work by Darren Beattie’s Revolver.news, among others, which brought Epps’s activities on January 5th and 6th to light.

Here are the top 12 strange, stand-out moments:

  1. Directing AntiFa.

Epps says, early on, that he was a member of the Oath Keepers, but that he left because national leader Stewart Rhodes was trying to “direct” Antifa. It is amazing how within just a few questions, Epps is already attempting to prove his credentials in the arena of not being an entryist, or a Fed, by laying out how organizations he was a part of engaged in Fed-style entryist tactics. How convenient. He recalls:

“I think it was Portland. It was Portland. I think that’s when antifa had first come out, and we were seeing a lot of things. They were burning things and doing different things on the news, and he thought it would be wise if we were to go there and try to direct the, get in with them and direct them to do other things — other ways. I didn’t agree with that so we kind of split ways.”

The person questioning Epps, whose name is redacted, hurries along from the matter remarkably quickly: “Got it… so now, I want to fast forward from the couple of years you were in the Oath Keepers to the 2020 general election.”

Hold on a minute. This is a self-professed member of the Oath Keepers, who was on the front lines on January 6th, telling you about their organization’s infiltration attempts, and you want to “fast forward”? Hm.

A few moments later, Rep. Kinzinger revisits the topic: “…when you talked about the antifa side of things, were you saying his goal was to kind of infiltrate and influence, like, partner, or was it kind of influence and sabotage or stray differently?”

Epps: “I believe he was going to try to turn them to our way of thinking.”

This is the first of many attempts to establish a fact pattern that suggests Epps himself would never think of infiltrating and sabotaging. In fact, you’ll never see Kinzinger be so nice to a supposed Trump supporter as he is throughout this interview.

Five-fold Increase in Immigration to Israel From Russia, Ukraine in 2022

As immigration from the United States sinks back to pre-pandemic levels, immigration to Israel from Russia and Ukraine together accounted for nearly 80 percent of the total in 2022

The Russian invasion of Ukraine brought about a near tripling in the number of immigrants arriving in Israel in 2022, according to Jewish Agency figures. By contrast, after a sharp spike in 2021, immigration from the United States reverted last year to its pre-pandemic levels.

The total number of immigrants who moved to Israel in 2022 totaled 74,915 – compared with 28,601 the previous year. The spike occurred starting in March, right after Russia invaded Ukraine. In the first few months of the war, Israel saw a sharp increase in immigration from Ukraine, as many Jews and relatives of Jews living in the war-torn country sought to flee.

But since then, immigration from Russia has far surpassed immigration from Ukraine. Although Jews in Russia have been in less physical danger than those in Ukraine, many are deeply concerned about the total disintegration of democracy in their country and the collapse of the economy due to international sanctions.

Release of ICAC report on Daryl Maguire, Gladys Berejiklian delayed

The NSW corruption watchdog says it is unlikely to release the findings of its investigation into former premier Gladys Berejiklian and her secret boyfriend before the March election.

Key points:

ICAC says its report won't be released in the first quarter of this year

It probed the conduct of ex-Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire, and former premier Gladys Berejiklian

During the hearings, it emerged that the pair had been in a secret relationship

The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) had probed the conduct of former Wagga Wagga MP Daryl Maguire, who was revealed as Ms Berejiklian's former boyfriend, during hearings in 2020.

Ms Berejiklian resigned in October 2021, after she too became a subject of the investigation.

In a statement released today, ICAC said "substantial parts of the report have been drafted", but it was unlikely to be finished until the "second quarter" of this year.

It was previously expected the report would be released before the March state election.

The ICAC probed allegations Mr Maguire was involved in a "cash-for-visas" scheme, among other things.

"The report concerns complex matters of law and fact, two public inquiries which proceeded over 30 days, over 2,800 pages of transcript, 516 exhibits comprising approximately 10,600 pages and 957 pages of submissions," the statement said.

"It is necessary that the issues relevant to the investigation are addressed carefully."

It said Operation Keppel Commissioner Ruth McColl was "continuing her work", but "it is not possible to specify a date by which it will be completed".

ICAC said it anticipated it was more likely the report will be "available for furnishing" in the second quarter of this year.

It said the last submission to the investigation was received in October 2022.

"The Commission and Ms McColl remain conscious of the obligation … to furnish investigation reports as soon as possible after the Commission has concluded its involvement in a matter," the statement said.

The watchdog also assessed if there was a conflict of interest between Ms Berejiklian's public duties and private interests when she was in a relationship with the former Liberal MP.

It specifically examined grant funding "awarded or promised" to the Australian Clay Target Association and the Riverina Conservatorium of Music of where Mr Maguire was the local member.

During the hearings, ex-Liberal premier Ms Berejiklian told the inquiry she denies any wrongdoing in connection with Mr Maguire, who she was in a secret relationship with for five years.

Mr Maguire was charged by Australian Border Force in November with conspiring to commit an offence over an alleged "visa and migration fraud".

California’s new digital license plates made cars trackable by hackers

Security researchers discovered vulnerabilities.

Reviver says it’s mission is to “modernize” the driving experience, and the way it does that is by developing the world’s first digital license plate and connected vehicle platform.

But security researchers looking into how safe that “modernization” is have found a way to poke significant holes in this design. Some of the vulnerabilities discovered show that malicious outside actors can track GPS location of digital license plates owners.

Reviver rolled out digital license plates last October and is still the only company that sells them in California. They are being marketed as legal to use across the US, while it is also becoming legal to buy them in more and more states.

Those who own such plates, or plan to do so, will be interested to hear that researcher Sam Curry shared in a blog post that it is possible for hackers to access the “super user” admin mode of any user, and from there on effectively remotely take over.

Some of the things a hacker could do with Reviver plates is update or delete them, and track them via GPS. And if the attacker was in a mood to have even more “fun” with digital plates’ users, they could access the administrative account even just to change personalized messages displayed at the bottom – to read whatever they wished, reports note.

Drivers who opt for digital plates, meanwhile, can choose to pay $20-25 per month (battery or wired powered, respectively). But why would anybody do that? The marketing around Reviver seems to focus on customer experience “trinkets” such as the ability to display those personalized messages, not available with “old school” plates – but also some potentially more useful features, such as an app that would detect movement when a vehicle is supposed to be parked.

In that case, the plate would show the word, “stolen.”

Now with some pretty serious vulnerabilities coming to light, such as full access to GPS data, Reviver’s message, shared by Motherboard, is that this particular vulnerability has been patched. And the company assured everyone that there is no evidence it had been exploited.

There’s more promises: Reviver said it “took further measures to prevent this from occurring in the future.”

Illinois To Pass Law Banning The Sale Of High Capacity Semi-Automatic Weapons

The Illinois State Senate has just approved legislation for a sweeping "assault weapons" ban that is expected to pass the House and be signed by Governor J.B. Pritzker. The bill is an adapted version of the "Protect Illinois Communities Act," which would ban at least 100 different semi-automatic weapons and high-capacity magazines from being manufactured or sold. The bill also makes devices intended to increase the rate-of-fire of semiautomatic weapons illegal, and increases the duration of a firearm restraining order from six months up to one year under the state's red flag law.

https://youtu.be/3NqDOu1M59k

Those who currently own such guns would not be required to surrender them but would have to register them with the Illinois State Police — including serial numbers. Universal firearms registration is, historically speaking, the first step towards total confiscation. Gun rights advocates in the state say they are ready to enter into civil litigation over the new law, arguing it is a direct attack on their constitutionally protected rights.

The action by Illinois comes not long after the Democrat controlled state of Oregon tried to implement a bill, known as the Reduction of Gun Violence Act, which would create a permit system for firearms ownership along with a list of requirements for approval by state officials. Broad permit laws for firearms have traditionally been rejected by courts because they transform gun rights into gun privileges; a direct violation of the 2nd Amendment.

Multiple Sheriffs in Oregon have stated they will refuse to enforce the law if it passes, and the bill has been frozen by the Oregon Supreme Court awaiting decision.

Gun control proponents often use imagery of high capacity semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15 or the AK-47 in their campaigns because they present a more imposing psychological reaction in the public. However, the vast majority of gun related crimes involve handguns, not semi-automatic rifles. Around 60% of all gun crimes are committed using pistols - Only 3% of gun crimes involve weapons commonly referred to as "assault rifles."

It should also be noted that Democrat run cities across the country top the statistical lists for violent criminal activity including gun violence despite the fact that they tend to have strict gun control laws already in place. The rationale for firearms bans is generally in response to a set of high profile crimes rather than an actual increase in overall violence, and such laws represent mass punishment of millions of law abiding citizens for the actions of a handful of people.

Homeland Security attempts to redirect censorship records request to Washington state

Homeland Security said the watchdog's request was not under its purview.

The Department of Homeland Security directed a Freedom of Information Act request about the government's role in censorship to Washington state, which is currently involved in several lawsuits against the legal watchdog group that made the FOIA request.

Protect the Public’s Trust on Wednesday said it asked Homeland Security to provide "'tickets' submitted by DHS to its censorship partners." The tickets reportedly contained social media posts, many of which were conservative, from U.S. citizens that the government wanted to be suppressed or removed.

"After a careful review of your FOIA request, we determined that the information you are seeking is not under the purview of DHS. DHS recommends you submit a request for information regarding EIP tickets to the State of Washington and/or the 'Virality Project,'" Homeland Security said in a letter to the public watchdog.

The Virality Project is a coalition of groups focused on detecting, analyzing and responding to COVID vaccine misinformation online. Washington state is already involved in three lawsuits filed by Protect the Public’s Trust for allegedly withholding records about a lead censorship official at the University of Washington, Kate Starbird.

"It is unusual for a federal agency to respond to a proper FOIA request with a referral to state and non-governmental entities acting as agents on its behalf," Protect the Public’s Trust Director Michael Chamberlain said.

Former GOP presidential candidate, Congresswoman Bachmann calls on McConnell to resign

'America no longer has the appetite for big spending simply because we can't,' Michele Bachmann said

Former GOP presidential candidate and Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann on Wednesday called for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to step aside and to allow as new generation of Republicans become party leaders.

"I would hope, with all due respect that Mitch McConnell will just recognize and leave," Bachmann said on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "I think even for him to leave now in his term would be wise and to hand the reins over."

Earlier this month, the Kentucky Republican became the country's longest-serving Senate leader.

"You've got someone like Senator Rick Scott," said Bachmann about the Florida Republican who recently challenged McConnell for his leadership post.

"You've got other candidates who would do well to lead the Republicans in the Senate. We've taken a dramatic turn in the house. The Senate needs to take that lead and recognize if you want to change America, you have to change what you do in the Senate."

McConnell is largely considered a master Capitol Hill strategist and partisan dealmaker. But he's recently faced criticism from within his political party for not trying to block, or at least trim, the $1.7 trillion omnibus appropriations bill passed in the last congressional session by the Democrat-controlled Congress.

McConnell cited defense spending as his main reason for voting for the measure. McConnell's Capitol Hill office did not respond to requests for comment before this story was published.

"America no longer has the appetite for big spending simply because we can't," Bachmann also said. "We're looking at a broke treasury. People's lives aren't well, aren't doing well privately because government is stealing their money and spending it. People really do want a change."

Bachmann says Americans want a change and are done with politicians that are in it for personal benefit and not the people.

"If you look at Mitch McConnell-I don't think he enjoys a wide berth of support among the Republican base, or among a lot of people," she argued. "The donor class are all for him. The lobbyists are all for him. But he doesn't have a big base anymore."

"One thing politicians need to realize is they have a window of time on the stage-the political stage," Bachmann continued. "I don't think Mitch McConnell understands that his time is over."

Biden admin extends Covid-19 public health emergency AGAIN

Since first being announced on January 31, 2020, the public health determination has been renewed ten times already, making this latest extension the 11th.

The Biden administration has yet again extended the Covid-19 public health emergency determination for another 90 days, the White House announced on Wednesday.

Since first being announced on January 31, 2020, the public health emergency has been renewed ten times already, making this latest extension the 11th.

HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra made the announcement via a declaration, titled "Renewal of Determination that a Public Health Emergency Exists."

"As a result of the continued consequences of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, on this date and after consultation with public health officials as necessary, I, Xavier Becerra, Secretary of Health and Human Services, pursuant to the authority vested in me under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act, do hereby renew, effective January 11, 2023, the January 31, 2020, determination by former Secretary Alex M. Azar II, that he previously renewed on April 21, 2020, July 23, 2020, October 2, 2020, and January 7, 2021, and that I renewed on April 15, 2021, July 19, 2021, October 15, 2021, January 14, 2022, April 12, 2022, July 15, 2022, and October 13, 2022, that a public health emergency exists and has existed since January 27, 2020, nationwide," the declaration reads.

Biden first announced in November that he would be extending the public health emergency past January 11, when it was set to expire.

The US Senate voted 62-36 a few days later to end the public health emergency declaration. However, Biden responded that he would veto the decision.

Biden declared that "the pandemic is over" during an interview on 60 Minutes in September, saying, "we still have a problem with Covid. We're still doing a lotta work on it. It's—but the pandemic is over."

"If you notice, no one's wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it's changing," he added, while walking around the first Detroit Auto Show in three years.

The White House then attempted to backtrack on those claims a few days later.

The extension comes following an announcement from the Pentagon on Tuesday that it would be dropping the vaccine mandate for military service members.

Also extended is the US's vaccine mandate for foreign travelers arriving in the country, which had been extended by the TSA in December through April 10.

Merrick Garland Named Special Counsel to Investigate Trump, Not Biden, Two Weeks After Biden Classified Docs Discovered

Attorney General Merrick Garland named a special counsel to investigate former President Donald Trump, not President Joe Biden, two weeks after Biden’s classified briefings and documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center.

On November 18, Garland named former federal prosecutor Jack Smith special counsel for two probes by the Department of Justice of Trump. About two weeks prior, on November 2, Biden’s classified documents were reportedly unearthed at Biden’s so-called “think tank,” the Penn Biden Center, by the president’s attorney.

The timeline suggests Garland appointed a special counsel to investigate Biden’s 2024 presidential political opponent for allegedly mishandling classified documents while potentially knowing Biden had allegedly committed the same violation.

Garland could have known about Biden’s mishandling of documents just six days before the midterm elections. Critics say Garland’s decision to not disclose to revelations before January was a political calculation to benefit Democrats in the midterms.

Biden has claimed he did not know classified documents were stashed at the Penn Biden Center, but Mike Davis, founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project, called Biden’s claim “nonsense.”

“Biden moved these stolen classified records twice: a. Before January 20, 2017 (left White House) b. After moving into new office in February 2018,” he tweeted. “Biden had these stolen classified records in his personal files. Garland must appoint a Special Counsel.
