The FBI raided a Greenville medical lab Tuesday, but declined to say what they were looking for.

The business is Diversified Medical Healthcare, which announced last February it would build a $51 million facility in Greenville and keep its headquarters on Pelham Road, which was the site of the raid.

The company said the expansion would create 185 jobs, a development lauded by state and federal officials. U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham toured the facility last June.

The company was started in 2011 and has a number of subsidiaries including Premier Medical Laboratory Services, CPT Medical, Vessel Medical and OnGen, according to its website. They run clinical reference laboratories, medical supply and equipment distribution, sterile medical manufacturing, and medical software.

The company has been especially involved in COVID-19 testing for state health departments and Health and Human Services surge sites throughout the country and produced testing kits and personal protective equipment.

Fox Carolina reported officials from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services were also on scene Tuesday.

An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment.
