EPILEPSY ANON UPDATE, mold plays a role

Hey anons just want to keep you guys posted on my research because I really want to find a definitive cure for this. I’ve been on meds that seem to be working for the last few days and it feels kinda defeating to have to take meds, but it’s given me some freedom to research with a little more focus.

I’m convinced there is an environmental factor to my epilepsy as I didn’t have seizures all summer but then when the weather changed I started having them every day. I theorized barometric pressure, vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, or salt might be playing a role, and I think they all do, but I’ve come across some mold damage in my house that I now suspect might be causing me inflammation and seizures. Mold spores that thrive when the temperature differential between inside and outside is high during winter.

Mold spores are pretty tiny and can cause seizures because of something called mycotoxins, which are metabolites that these spores give off.

I’m going to buy some new air filters as my HVAC actually doesn’t have one, so I will rig a HEPA one today, and I will also buy a freestanding air purifier as well, also HEPA. I will also spray down most of my basement with either bleach or vinegar, I’ve heard vinegar is best. Will be a weird trip to the grocery store lol.

My house does have a slightly musty/sweet smell, and the seasonal nature of my seizures is interesting. I’ve read a few different reports of people that have seizures and then their dogs also start having seizures when they do, and they turned out to have mold in their house.

I thought this was metabolic due to the seasonally, and my seizures absolutely travel up the vagus nerve, as I can feel my gut flip before the deja vu feeling kicks in, but now I’m wondering if they might start in my lungs… as often my breathing changes slightly before any of these other aspects of the seizures… it’s like how the gut has healthy bacteria, maybe my lungs just have bad “bacteria” in them, making them over exited.

I can think back to a few seizures I’ve had when I was a lot younger and they did all happen around times i was living in dilapidated old apartments or houses. There is something to this and I will get to the bottom of it and report back.
