I must agree.
It may be fast combing through a vast database (for whatever THAT is worth)… and seeking for the answers the programmers WANT.
But i doubt it can ever free associate concepts into new and original ideas and ‘see’ through towards what invites a fuller human health and happiness. That stuff is too illogical for ‘computation’. Exactly WHY psychos and sociopaths lust for AI.

Similar to your (and mine) lament about over complicated Systems… there was a book discussed here several years ago “Harvard Lectures Science and Government” that talked about the dangerous allure of unnecessary highend technologies and the tunnel vision that can prevent people from seeing things clearly.
Dick’s friend Don Rumsfeldshit… was known for his fixation on gadgets which he wanted deployed into battlefield units. Often overpriced (of course), and also overly confusing compared to the philosophy of IronSights and a clear head.
