Any anons thinking about keeping hens? Chicks go on sale at many stores starting in abt a month. It’s not hard to do, but does require you to be more homebound (to collect eggs). Questions?
No roosters needed to get eggs. When hens start laying you get roughly 1 egg every 30 hrs depending on the season (less light means fewer eggs)
Can you go stealth? Bribe nosy neighbors with eggs?
The manure is composted two years then placed in the garden. You can also do a deep litter method which requires little maintenance.
