Bakers are what keeps the breads going. Hard to find, easy to lose. Need flexible ways to work. Ghosting is not preferred, especially late in a bread. Anons with a strong preference for going to 751 can learn to bake.
It is not baker's or anons' fault that notables @751 are lengthy - it's the state of the world and the incredible diversity of changes happening day by day.
Bakers decide what to notable one by one. What they get is what they get. Anons have the chance to say if they think something is not notable.
A and B split is because each post can only be so long - it is the only way to handle extra long notables. Having the option of shorter breads enables bakers to bake before the notables become extremely long.
There are tradeoffs whatever we do. Flexible baking helps but will not stop the world from turning. What we cannot change requires adaption.
