A story I'm writing.

There once was an anon who learned that he was host to a parasitic thought form that had been with him since he was a child.

One day, near Halloween, it went "active" and revealed itself. Thankfully, it wasn't very smart, or particularly strong; so he was able to severely weaken it using 432hz music, willpower, and imagination (I'm thinking of adding a bit where he also expelled something less intangible and more insectoid as part of the process, but I'm not sure). To the point that it could barely talk.

But he was having trouble finally expelling it, despite thinking that he had done so several times. And then, it was just an annoyance, but the anon wanted rid of it.

How should I finish the story? How should the anon expel the pathetic creature and be free of it?

Any suggestions that don't involve "ask the magical Levantine carpenter"?
