Look, I'm not advocating anything anti-american. I love America. I love our constitution. It's just I take umbrage with the pedestal people put "constitutional republic" or even the word "republic" on. It has no significant meaning when one realizes a shit ton of countries call themselves republics. A shit ton of those same countries have constitutions. Rome was a republic. Venice was a republic. Neither of those governing systems look anything like America's.
Terms like republic and fascism when one analyzes them for definitions, one sees that these terms are not as solidified or consistent through history that we are led to believe. They are subject to however the reader and audience wants to interpret them, or the connotations the audience wishes to imbue in them.
