See how many days Joe Biden has spent at his Delaware residence since he took office

January 18, 2023

resident Biden has used his home in Wilmington, Delaware as a weekend White House, making 52 trips there since taking office in January 2021 and spending all or part of 164 days at the residence, according to a tally by The Post.

The White House initially defended Biden’s frequent trips home from claims he was slacking off, with then-press secretary Jen Psaki telling reporters last February that the president can “work from anywhere.”

However, since the scandal over Biden’s handling of classified documents broke, the administration has changed its tune — saying the Wilmington residence is “personal” rather than a government outpost in a bid to avoid releasing records of who has visited.

Meanwhile, the Secret Service said this week it doesn’t keep visitor logs of the “private residence,” going beyond its responses to two prior requests by The Post for information on visitors to Biden’s Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach homes.

Japanese killer chokes to death on prison food while awaiting execution

January 18, 2023

A Japanese woman on death row for killing two men died behind bars when she choked while eating prison chow in her cell.

Miyuki Ueta, 49, a former bar employee, lost consciousness during her meal at the Hiroshima lockup on Saturday afternoon, the Japan Times reported.

Guards tried to remove the food from her throat and performed other rescue measures, but Ueta was declared dead at a hospital less than three hours later, according to the outlet.

The prisoner had reportedly been on medication for a variety of ailments and had already collapsed a week earlier while eating.

Ueta’s death sentence was finalized in 2017 when the country’s Supreme Court upheld lower court rulings.

She bore “grave criminal responsibility” after carrying out the premeditated and “cruel crimes based on firm intentions to kill,” the top court said.

Crypto giant Genesis is 'days away' from bankruptcyafter suffering steep losses in wake of FTX collapse: Firm owes creditors $3 BILLION - including $900M to Winklevoss twins

January 19, 2023

Crypto broker Genesis is said to be in the final stage of its Chapter 11 paperwork

The company, which is owned by venture capital firm Digital Currency Group, had been considering filing for some time, as it reportedly owes creditors $3bn

Among those are customers of Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss's Gemini

The statuesque twins - perhaps best known for their protracted legal battle with fellow billionaire Mark Zuckerberg - recorded $900m in losses when FTX fell

Cameron and his brother's exchange used Genesis as its main lending partner, leaving the brothers - and millions of their customers - the red as a result

Popular cryptocurrency broker Genesis is expected to file for bankruptcy within days, insiders have revealed.

It would make the firm the latest crypto casualty following the spectacular downfall of Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX, where the company held some of its funds.

According to people familiar with the matter, Genesis is currently in the final stage of its Chapter 11 paperwork as it works toward a deal with creditors.

The company, which is owned by venture capital firm Digital Currency Group, had been considering filing for bankruptcy for some time, as it reportedly owes creditors more than $3billion.

Among those owed money is Gemini, owned by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, which reportedly saw more than $900million of its customers' funds evaporate from the exchange after Bankman-Fried's own Chapter 11 filing in November.

The statuesque twins - perhaps best known for their protracted legal battle with fellow billionaire Mark Zuckerberg made famous in The Social Network - were among many to record losses when FTX fell.

Cameron and his brother's exchange used Genesis as its main lending partner, leaving the brothers - and millions of their customers - in the red as a result.

Lenders like Genesis, founded by crypto magnate Barry Silbert, suffered steep losses from loans it supplied FTX's now-defunct trading firm Alameda Research and its hedge fund backer Three Arrows Capital, both of which filed for bankruptcy.

A new report published Wednesday by Bloomberg revealed that as figures such as Winklevosses seek to recover sums lent to Genesis, the New York based-lender has resigned that it cannot raise the funds to pay back its creditors.

'Do not let Wy come to my funeral. She's mentally ill': Naomi Judd's suicide note is revealed as cops claim she threatened to kill herself SIX TIMES and release grisly images of her blood-spattered bed after family dropped lawsuit

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT

County music singer Naomi Judd took her own life on April 30 at the age of 76, after a long battle with her mental health

On Wednesday it emerged that Judd had left behind a brutal suicide note demanding her daughter Wynonna, 58, not attend her funeral

Judd's other daughter, actress and activist Ashley Judd, 54, fought unsuccessfully to keep the police report detailing the note a secret

Ashley and Wynonna, who with her mother formed Grammy-winning country duo The Judds, were both left out of their mother's will

January 19, 2023

Country music star Naomi Judd left a suicide note by her bedside insisting her daughter Wynonna be barred from her funeral, and claiming she was mentally ill.

Judd, 76, took her own life in April at her Tennessee mansion after years of struggles with her own mental health.

On Wednesday it emerged that police found a note beside her bed which read: 'Do not let Wy come to my funeral. She's mentally ill.'

The Judd family - daughters Wynonna, 58, and actress and activist Ashley, 54, plus her gospel singer husband Larry Strickland - tried through the courts to prevent the police report being made public, but dropped the case in December.

Williamson County Sheriff's Department have now released the files, which include the photo of the bloodstained bed where Judd shot herself.
