I understand Boering was saying what he thinks Crowder’s position is…

What he missed to say, AND Steven also did not say explicitly… is that by the nature of such a ‘contract’… YouTube IS effectively trying to compel content creation… and penalize lack of future productivity….

(I say)… because YouTube wants to count chickens before they are hatched… and beat the shit of underperforming eggs to recover their “losses” based upon YouTube’s pipeline PROJECTIONS. It is an accounting ‘trick’ used by very disgusting people.

It is mathemagical madness that YouTube is now trying to foist upon contributors.

Dudeanon!

I may have missed a lot of the conversation back and forth… but the bad seeds ARE in the contract offerings. I know it is VERY popular and ‘common’ is contract ‘agreements’. I lived through it myself twenty years ago. People who DO NOT craft things that others want, very often want to insert themselves into the profitability stream. To a point, that is understandable AND tolerable by people who actually make things. Makers often are uninterested in the cash. But can RIGHTLY be very offended when too much is skimmed from their efforts… and especially if others try to compel creation which the Marketer has ANTICIPATED future profits (and already purchased things for themselves based upon their expectations that the money will show up later).

“If Boering DIDN'T do that, he'd be in a dereliction of his duty as a fiduciary to maximize the value of the DW as a company.”. Have you spent too much time swimming in the poowater of mathmagical accounting????

I don’t know how to explain it… but there is something very related to what is going on with Crowder and Jeorge.

I had NO IDEA about Joerge’s life prior and still largely separate from his Slingshot Channel.

The interview is very long, and the interviewer is self-admittedly not very good. But if one has the time, Jorge illuminated a tremendous amount about himself, his own relationship with Youtue and his ideas about how these ‘contracts’ are foul.

Mindbending synchronicity, fate, happenstance, cosmic karmic whatever… about how YouTube would NOT BE WHAT IT IS TODAY without Jeorge’s own technological contribution (I’m saying that. Jeorge is not an arrogant person)

Anon is reviewing the vid again for the time stamps that are interesting and/or related to YouTube.

I recall that somewhere in this interview, JS touched on his only little invention for amateurs to edit video from cassette tape. Without that, people were unable to easily compile edited video from camcorders (not that long ago) before complete solidstate cameras that now exists today.
