FED rate is 0.425% - 0.450% We, the American government, is paying at least 1.3333 trillion/year in interest in 'our own money'. $1.33 trillion/year on $31 trillion dept. Yes, we, the U.S. Government can't print our own money and then owe it to ourselves. No, we must borrow our own money from a group of private families and then pay them whatever interest they decide.
