#OTD in 1991, USS Louisville (SSN-724) became the first submarine to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles in combat. The Tomahawks were launched against Iraqi targets during Desert Storm. A special Louisville Slugger baseball bat was made to commemorate the sub's role in the war.
