If we want to start winning, we’ll have to prevent problems before they happen rather than trying to correct them after they become official. Democrats don’t struggle with the vision, funding, or commitment to remake the election system in their chosen image – well in advance of the elections they want to win. Republicans in recent years have struggled to even identify election mechanics problems in time to address them, much less win.

That the Supreme Court is unable to identify the individual who leaked the draft opinion is an unfortunate development for the institution and for the country (1/5)
Congress should now follow through on the Supreme Court Marshal's implicit endorsement of legislation to expressly prohibit such leaks, in order to better protect the future operations of our nation’s highest court. (2/5)
As such, I’ll be reintroducing the Leaker Accountability Act imminently. (3/5)
This bill would expressly prohibit Supreme Court leaks moving forward, and hold accountable anyone who aims to harm the institution of the Court for political gain. (4/5)
The 20-page Supreme Court Marshal report makes specific mention of this legislation, saying "Consideration should be given to supporting such legislation."
