During the conversation, which thankfully was tape-recorded, Nixon suggested he knew 'who shot John', meaning President John F. Kennedy. Nixon further implied that the CIA was directly involved in Kennedy's assassination, which we now know it was. Helms's telling response? Total silence…"

Does a White House tape recording of that supposed exchange truly exist?

Anon sees many other Nixon tapes here:

But on June 23, 1972, no conversation with Helms is noted, none at all. (See xls extract image for June 23.)

Anon wonders about that.
