I don't follow your cray-cray hate-splan-ations but only commented that
people of the past tended to use buildings until it was far past what today would be considered a reasonable number of years, before renovations.
and temples were, in fact, often just used for whatever next happened.
so you find in some city ( a very famous one) the temple of Wisdom was made into (I think it was Wisdom, but they called her . . .
anyway that was her temple but today
today it's a main cathedral and that is built around the structure of the older temples.
