"The first shooting [today] happened at the Mountain Mushroom Farm on Highway 92 (San Mateo Road) in Half Moon Bay, a small city on the Pacific coast of California, about 20 miles south of San Francisco.
"The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that four people were killed at the Mountain Mushroom Farm, which is also known as a marijuana growing farm.
"The second shooting happened at Concord Farms on Cabrillo Highway South, about 5 miles by car from the first scene. Three people died at that location and one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
All of the victims are believed to be Chinese farmworkers, City Councilmember Debbie Ruddock said. The suspected shooter, 67-year-old Zhao Chunli, worked at one of the farms and turned himself in to police just after 4:30 p.m."
