Renteria (interview): I often talk about, like, this idea of 'how can I…'

Renteria (interview): '…place it would be if we all had a better understanding, erm, of each other and where we grew up!' and so I feel like I have, sort of lived life in a lot of different worlds, and, I love bringing it together.
Renteria (diff. clip): Did I, did I ever show you this? I look at, I love this, everyday, because…

Office Man: (Phone rings) Hello.
Office Woman: Thankyou, take care and you look forward to seeing a woman President, yes.
Renteria (diff. clip): Our biggest message, right now, has been 'early votes starts Minnesota, the 23rd and Iowa, the 29th. This place looks like this on Saturday and Sunday (points to busy office). It doesn't really change.
Renteria (interview): I was honoured to be able to work for somebody like Hillary Clinton, who has done so much in her life - particularly, her fight for women and families, but I didn't imagine how much responsibility I would feel. Renteria (interview): …to women, to folks with disabilities, and the effect it's had on me is much more, erm, waking up, everyday realising the responsibility of making sure that we have the right kind of leadership in our country.
Renteria (diff. clip): Sometimes, it's hard to hear is "oh, you're in politics, that's dirty!" It's not. There is some people that might be, but the work itself is beautiful, if done right and if done well, and I think sometimes I get pretty down by that - when people are kind of, you know it's my way of giving back and to hear "well, that's a dirty business". It shouldn't be. For me, right, it's a hard thing growing up in the Central Valley knowing I'm Mexican-American, knowing the way Trump's demonising me and then, seeing some of my old softball coaches be strong Trump supporters. And, you say, "Trump just demonised me and my kids and you know me!", erm, my hope is that you believe in the better angels of all of us, right, where we do want everyone to succeed. To my old teachers and my old coaches that they really don't believe that. At least, sometimes, that's what allows me to sleep at night. And, so I'm hopeful that not only will that notion that we're stronger together, that everybody is welcome, will succeed here. But that, folks will come together and realise the higher calling of all of us being part of this country.
