Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) disclosed a sale of 30,000 shares in Google’s parent company, Alphabet, roughly one month before the Justice Department opened an antitrust lawsuit into the technology firm.

Federal regulators claimed in the Tuesday complaint that Google monopolizes the tools website publishers use to sell advertisements and that companies utilize to purchase advertisements. Pelosi, who resigned from her leadership position but remains a member of Congress, sold 10,000 shares of Alphabet Class A stock on December 20, December 21, and December 28, according to federal disclosures, marking a combined transaction value between $1.5 million and $3 million. The disclosures were digitally signed by the lawmaker on January 12.

Although shares for Google have increased roughly 8% over the past month, the company’s stock price declined some 6% this week as news of the antitrust lawsuit became public.

Officials claimed that Google has engaged in a “pattern of acquisitions to obtain control over key digital advertising tools” and has manipulated auctions to “deprive rivals of scale.” Such moves may violate the Sherman Act, which outlaws “monopolization, attempted monopolization, or conspiracy or combination to monopolize” deemed unreasonable by the court system. Google said in a statement that the Justice Department lawsuit attempts to “pick winners and losers” in the “highly competitive” advertising technology space.

Pelosi and her husband, Paul, have been repeatedly accused of leveraging insider knowledge that the veteran lawmaker holds in order to increase earnings in the stock market. The filing also revealed that the top Democrat sold shares of Netflix, PayPal, Salesforce, Tesla, and Disney.

A group of Republican House members led by Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) put forth legislation Wednesday to repeal the National Firearms Act (1934), thereby stripping the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) of the ability to turn law-abiding gun owners into criminals.

The legislation is called the Repeal the NFA Act.

Burlison tweeted: “The Repeal the NFA Act will strip the ATF of its authority to criminalize lawful gun owners and undo nearly 90 years of assault on our fundamental freedoms. I’m proud to stand with Americans nationwide as we take this issue head-on.”

Burlison told the Daily Caller, “The federal government has used the National Firearms Act for almost a century to violate law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights. The recent ATF pistol brace rule is just another example of these blatant attacks on the constitutional rights of Americans. The ATF-NFA sham needs to end.”

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), a co-sponsor of Burlison’s bill, noted, “I applaud Rep. Burlison’s legislation that would prevent the federal government from imposing draconian registration mandates on law-abiding gun owners. Anti-gun zealots have enacted policies that create increased government bureaucracy and do nothing to reduce gun violence.”

Another co-sponsor of Burlison’s bill, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), is simultaneously pushing to eliminate the ATF.

On January 20, 2023, Breitbart News reported Gaetz’s introduction of the Abolish the ATF Act.

Gaetz tweeted his intentions, writing, “House Republicans have the ATF in our crosshairs. The continued existence of the ATF is increasingly unwarranted based on their repeated actions to convert law-abiding citizens into felons. My bill today would abolish the ATF once and for all.”

i have a pre-existing condition, i had 4 blood clots at 1 time, 1 in each lung and 2 in right leg in 2015 (genetic predisposition to clots)

so my family were all aware of this and some friends

so, when i told them i would not be getting the vaccine due to the concerns that they cause blood clots, all of the responses were similar, in that they said they understood that i should not get the vax, but most of them then did get the vax and many boosted, as well

i thought how illogical. knowing that one of their loved ones couldn't get the vax due to risk of blood clots, yet they decided to anyway

when i bring up "died suddenly" to any of them, they don't want to talk about it, or for the true believers, they bring up what npr has said that the unvaxxed are dying at a much higher rate than the vaxxed

thanks for your ear
