Emails about lacrosse-playing kids link Hunter Biden, wife of ex-FBI agent Charles McGonigal

This has gotta stick in her craw.

The wife of an ex-FBI agent arrested this week for allegedly helping a Russian oligarch has something in common with Hunter Biden — their lacrosse-playing daughters, data stored on the first son’s infamous laptop reveals.

Pamela McGonigal and Biden both received at least 29 emails related to the Next Level Lacrosse program and other activities associated with the sport from Oct. 7, 2014, to May 7, 2015, according to a search of the first son’s messages.

Two of Biden’s daughters with his first wife Kathleen Buhle — Finnegan and Maisy Biden — were midfielders on the varsity lacrosse team at the exclusive Sidwell Friends private school in Washington, DC, according to online records.

Older sister Finnegan was even named an all-league lacrosse player for the 2017 spring season by the Independent School League, the school announced at the time.

It’s unclear where Pamela and Charles “Charlie” McGonigals’ daughter, Sarah, attended school or if she played scholastic sports.

Pamela McGonigal didn’t return an email from The Post seeking comment and blew her stack while carrying two small dogs outside the couple’s Greenwich Village apartment building Wednesday.

“There is no comment and there’s no connection,” she angrily told a reporter after yelling at a photographer to “put your camera away.”

“We’ve made it clear we have nothing to say,” she said.

The emails connecting McGonigal and Hunter Biden through their daughters’ lacrosse activities were first reported by the right-wing Marco Polo USA research group.

Charles McGonigal — who’s accused of taking illegal payments from a Russian oligarch and a former Albanian spy — is also linked to Biden through the FBI’s investigation of Chi Ping Patrick Ho, who was arrested by agents at JFK Airport on Nov. 18, 2017.

At the time, McGonigal was the special agent in charge of the Counterintelligence Division for the New York Field Office and court records show some evidence against Ho came “from electronic surveillance and physical search conducted pursuant to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.”

It’s unclear what role, if any, McGonigal played in obtaining that evidence.

Ho’s bust came just weeks after he and Biden struck a $1 million deal for Biden to provide “counsel to matters related to US law and advice pertaining to the hiring and legal analysis of any US Law Firm or Lawyer,” as first reported by The Post in October 2020.

Shortly after Ho was arrested, court records show, he placed a phone call to Biden’s uncle, James Biden, who in 2018 told The New York Times he believed Ho was trying to reach his nephew and passed along Hunter Biden’s contact information.

Ho was convicted of bribing top officials in Chad and Uganda on behalf of the CEFC China Energy Co. and was deported to Hong Kong in June 2020 after serving a three-year prison sentence.

McGonigal faces charges in both Manhattan federal court, where he was released on bond after pleading not guilty Monday, and in Washington DC federal court, where he appeared virtually from his defense team’s Midtown Manhattan office.

Lead defense lawyer Seth Ducharme, a former acting Brooklyn US attorney, pleaded not guilty on his client’s behalf and said during the proceeding that he was eager to see the evidence in the case because there were “some unusual facts” in the indictment.

Ducharme didn’t elaborate on that remark but said Monday, “We have a lot of faith in Mr. McGonigal.”

Ducharme didn’t return an email Wednesday seeking comment about the emails to Pamela McGonigal and the Ho investigation.

Prince Andrew’s 72 teddy bears get special attention, ex-maid says

Prince Andrew’s beloved collection of teddy bears was so big it took a full day of training for new staff to care for them — and an hour each day to arrange them for the adult royal, according to a former palace maid.

Charlotte Briggs told The Sun that when she started working for the “demanding and entitled” prince at Buckingham Palace the biggest surprise was his collection of 72 soft toys.

“As soon as I got the job, I was told about the teddies and it was drilled into me how he wanted them,” she told the UK paper of just after Andrew divorced Sarah Ferguson in 1996, when he was 36.

“He absolutely loved the teddies and was very clear about how he wanted them arranged,” she said, calling it “so peculiar.”

Briggs, who was just 21 at the time, said she “even had a day’s training” because the newly divorced prince was so demanding about how they were set out in his apartment at the palace.

Andrew, a former Royal Navy helicopter pilot who flew in the Falklands War, mostly collected bears dressed as sailors in uniforms and caps, the former maid said.

“The teddies had to be in a particular order on his four-poster bed, from the biggest at the back, down to the smallest at the front,” she said, with the prince’s two favorite bears on “thrones” either side of the bed.

“It took me half an hour to arrange them,” she insisted, calling it the “most bizarre thing to be paid for.”

The bizarre collection came to light this week after a former palace guard told a UK TV documentary that Andrew would “shout and scream” if the soft toys were not left in the right place.

Briggs told The Sun that Andrew even left her in tears with his angry outbursts — claiming that when she once left a gap after closing his curtains he screamed, “Can’t you f—ing do anything right?”

“I was thinking, ‘You want to shut your own curtains’ but you can’t say anything. You have to absorb it. It was awful and he brought me to tears,” she said.

The “spoiled brat” would even make her run up four flights of stairs to close the curtains — even when he was sitting right next to them, the former maid said.

“This man fought for his country in the Falklands but couldn’t stand up to close his own curtains,” she told the UK paper.

“It was utterly ridiculous but spoke volumes about him … He thinks he’s above everyone,” she insisted of the prince who has since been booted from royal duties and is no longer His Royal Highness.

She said when she got the job looking after Andrew partly because nobody else wanted it “because of his reputation for tantrums and sweary outbursts.”

She did not last long, either — quitting the following year, just before

Princess Diana’s death in August 1997.

Buckingham Palace and a spokesman for Prince Andrew both declined to comment, The Sun said.

The interview comes amid increased focus on Andrew, who is being sued in Manhattan by longtime Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre who says she was forced to have sex with him three times. He has vehemently denied the allegations.

  1. (S/Rel Russia) Action request: Embassy Moscow is requested to alert at the highest appropriate level the Russian Federation that FBI Director Mueller plans to deliver the HEU sample once he arrives to Moscow on September 21. Post is requested to convey information in paragraph 5 with regard to chain of custody, and to request details on Russian Federation's plan for picking up the material. Embassy is also requested to reconfirm the April 16 understanding from the FSB verbally that we will have no problem with the Russian Ministry of Aviation concerning Mueller's September 21 flight clearance.

2. (S/NF) Background: Over two years ago Russia requested a ten-gram sample of highly enriched uranium (HEU) seized in early 2006 in Georgia during a nuclear smuggling sting operation involving one Russian national and several Georgian accomplices. The seized HEU was transferred to U.S. custody and is being held at a secure DOE facility. In response to the Russian request, the Georgian Government authorized the United States to share a sample of the material with the Russians for forensic analysis. Director Mueller previously planned to deliver the sample in April (Ref A), but due to a scheduling conflict the trip was canceled. Embassy Moscow LegAtt informed the FSB prior to Mueller's intended April delivery and received confirmation that the FSB would take custody of the sample after the Director's plane landed. EST Moscow also informed Rosatom of the planned transfer and that the U.S. placed a high priority on completing this transfer (Ref B). Once the LegAtt told FSB counterparts the April trip had been canceled, Ambassador Beyrle informed Igor Neverov (Ref C), who said that he understood but was disappointed the trip was postponed. The September 21 visit provides again an opportunity to deliver the requested ten-gram sample from the seized HEU in order to obtain cooperation from the GOR on this nuclear smuggling case and to eventually establish a more productive mechanism of U.S.-Russian cooperation on nuclear forensics.

Republic of Georgia authorities, aided by the CIA, set up a sting operation last summer that led to the arrest of Russian man who tried to sell a small amount of nuclear-bomb grade uranium in a plastic bag in his jacket pocket, U.S. and Georgian officials said.

The operation, which neither government has publicized, represents one of the most serious cases of smuggling of nuclear material in recent years, according to analysts and officials.
