Hagin drew criticism in advance of Trump's nuclear summit with Kim Jong-un by keeping key details away fromthe president so he couldn't tweet them

Donald Trump will lose another senior aide in just two weeks, as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Joe Hagin leaves the administration.

Hagin, the president's point-man on last week's nuclear summit with North Korea's dictator, made headlines for keeping Trump in the dark about key details negotiated in advance – so he couldn't tweet them.

He was left with egg on his face weeks earlier in Singapore, when the North Korean delegation scheduled to attend pre-summit meetings stood the American team up.

But his final mark on Washington could be his link to key backers of an alleged cult known as NXIVM that has been accused of brainwashing women into becoming sex slaves.

Buzzfeed on Monday detailed the relationship between Hagin and an influential Libyan politician said to have spent years promoting NXIVM, which bills itself as a women's empowerment group.

A consulting firm co-founded by Hagin was contracted by Igtet from 2011 to at least 2013, during which time Igtet and his wife Sarah Bronfman were fighting to keep NXIVM alive amid an FBI investigation into allegations that it was a sex cult.
