I'm gray on the "busted" /"given a way out" ….he comes of genuine to me, so I think he was identified as willing to play ball with the white hats and they naturally had to sew some disinfo to keep him safe until no longer necessary. Don't forget, Kash talked abou t how HE gave MUSK big DoD contracts. Presumably that was done both on merit and an understanding MUSK would need some financial stability to pull some shit off (i.e. twitter purchase and negative speculation on Tesla).
As for the account(s) - I think "they" (all of those accounts that people like myself and others who put together with links and graphics) have forked over their credentials either willingly or not….
There's soooooo much out there. DoD, Ft Sill, Airborne, 5 major US Mil, Pompeo, Biden, White House, Jill Biden, fuck the list is exhaustive. All the accounts (my best guess) are tied into to a central software that may allow them to tweet individually, but has override access and or ability to tweet if/when "white hats" want to throw something out.
