Anons with dogs…

Have you ever tried replacing their heartworm medication with paste ivermectin? We have decided to wean off all unnecessary vax (just do rabies), but dog has been on heartworm meds. Most places require a rx and we’re not wanting to do the vet thing anymore and also boycotting TSC (where we sometimes visited the mobile vet clinic).

I was looking for nonrx alternatives, found this website and noticed it’s just ivermectin, in a tablet form.

I’ll probably try it (low dose) and will report back in about 6 mo. We have some tablets we need to use up first. I go back and forth whether the dog needs it anyway…
