NOVA - A lot of dogma.
The scientist in this video admit they don't know what is causing the decrease in earths magnetic field.
The decrease is being caused by the arrival of the ''Galactic Current Sheet'', happens approximately every 12,500 years plus or minus 1,250 years (10% error) and takes about 300 to 500 years to pass the solar system. There are also 1/2 cycles of approximately 6,000 years. The last 6000 year event is more commonly known as the Noah event. There are other harmonics at approx. 3000 years and 1500 years.

And catch up with more recent discoveries, such as the poles flip but return to their current location relatively quickly, within the 300 to 500 years it takes the Solar Current Sheet to pass by.
Hint: the Sun also has a Current Sheet, passes earth every 7 days or so. Also the Solar Wind is a current, it's composed of moving ions and electrons which make it a current not a wind.
>you will not even notice any effects (ya haven't yet, have ya).
Yes, I have noticed the decrease in the magnetic field. It's getting harder for me to feel magnetic North than it was 40+ years ago.
I watched the video you posted, they don't mention either of the Current Sheets, an important fact that is ignored.
