Harris Co. election ballot paper shortage far bigger than initially estimated.

It's so big it may have altered the outcome of elections.

It may necessitate new elections.

It WILL necessitate new LAWS that prevent Harris Co. from ever doing this again.

The House could consider a resolution to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from the House Foreign Affairs Committ as early as today.

The only problem is that Omar isnโ€™t formally on the Foreign Affairs Commitee - yet.

House Republicans are waiting for Democrats to send to the floor a slate of names for Foreign Affairs and perhaps other panels.

It would likely be accepted on the floor. Thatโ€™s because Republicans donโ€™t want to simultaneously block other members from joining that panel.

Then itโ€™s up to Republicans to put another resolution on the floor to remove Omar from that committee.

It requires a simple majority vote to strip Omar of that committee assignment.

Itโ€™s unclear if all Republicans would support the plan.

However, some Democrats could be in play because of comments Omar made about 9/11 and anti-Semitic tropes.

Regardless, even if they are unsuccessful, Republicans would at least like enginee a vote to get Democrats from battleground districts on the record as supporting Omar.

The GOP could then weaponize that vote against vulnerable Democrats in 2024.
