Judge rules gay couple accused of raping their adopted sons will not be immune from testifying against each other
Zachary and William Zulock are both charged with raping their adopted sons
A judge has ordered they won't be immune from testifying against each other
The pair must also be represented by separate attorneys
The Atlanta couple accused of raping their two adopted sons will not be immune from testifying against each other if their case proceeds to trial.
William Zulock and Zachary Zulock are accused of sodomizing their young sons, who were adopted through a now defunct Christian agency, and offering them up to other local pedophiles.
They are both facing life in prison and have been separated in two different jails while they await their next court date in March. Neither has yet entered a plea, but police records indicate they confessed to some of the allegations.
Judge Jeffrey L. Foster has ordered that they will be ordered to testify against e pair each other, removing their right to claim immunity because they are married or because it could incriminate themselves.
In the most recent hearing, attorney John Haldi - who was representing both men - withdrew his support of Zachary following a request from the prosecution that the two men should be severed at trial.
Now, Zachary must obtain new counsel - but is struggling to find someone to pay for it, according to Townhall, which broke the first story about the couple in August.
When contacted by DailyMail.com on Thursday, Haldi would not be drawn on any details of the case, citing a gag order that the judge is yet to rule on, but that would prevent attorneys on both sides from discussing the case with the media if approved.
He said he had 'spoken' with William recently, but wouldn't share any more details or indicate whether he intended to plead guilty or not guilty.
In his request that the pair be forced to testify against one another, DA McGinley said it was a matter of public interest that they should have to testify against one another.
The couple was able to adopt their two sons 2018 despite Zachary having been accused of raping another boy in 2011. That allegation was reported to police but never investigated by prosecutors thoroughly enough to warrant charges.
Now, it has been reopened in light of the new allegations.
Not only are the pair accused of raping the boys, but also sending videos of the abuse to other local pedophiles.
Hunter Clay Lawless, 27, and Luis Armando Vizcarro-Sanchez, 25, were taken into custody on charges of soliciting an act of prostitution with both boys in August, but their names are only now being made public.
It's unclear whether they ever met the boys or had any sexual interactions with them, but Lawless told police he was invited to the home 'multiple times' by Zachary Zulock, after meeting him through a friend on Grindr.
He was arrested after child porn investigators traced a large cache to his Gmail address.
Lawless told police Zulock contacted him through Snapchat, telling him he planned to 'f**k his son' that night, and warning him to expect videos of it.
Cops found photos and videos of Zachary Zulock raping the boy on Lawless' phone and computer, according to the arrest documents.
In one message, Zachary allegedly said: 'I'm going to f*ck my son tonight. Stand by.'
The pair will return to court in March.

Chinese spy balloon the size of three buses is spotted floating over Montana for DAYS as US mobilizes F-22 Raptors to intercept: Biden wanted to shoot it down but Pentagon advised him not to because of falling debris
A Chinese surveillance balloon has been hovering over the northern U.S. for the past few days, the Pentagon confirmed on Thursday
Defense officials discussed shooting it out of the sky on Wednesday while it was above Billings, Montana - but decided instead to monitor it closely
F-22 Raptors were sent from Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada, but they did not engage with the object
Biden suggested the high-altitude balloon should be shot down, after it was spotted and reported by civilians in a commercial airliner, U.S. officials told The Wall Street Journal. The Pentagon opposed the move, fearing civilian casualties if the giant balloon - the size of three buses - is exploded in the air.

"If there is a dividing line between liberty and license, it is where freedom of speech is no longer respected as a procedure of the truth and becomes the unrestricted right to exploit the ignorance and to incite the passions of the people. Then freedom is such a hullabaloo of sophistry, propaganda, special pleading, lobbying, and salesmanship that it is difficult to remember why freedom of speech is worth the pain and trouble of defending it… It is sophistry to pretend that in a free country a man has some sort of inalienable or constitutional right to deceive his fellow man. There is no more right to deceive than there is a right to swindle, to cheat, or to pick pockets."

US comic Dave Chappelle is forced to stop mid-show on Australian tour after a wild brawl broke out among 'bogans' in the audience - and the telling reason why there's NO photos of it
Comedian Dave Chappelle has fled Perth in a private jet hours after his performance was abruptly interrupted mid-show when a wild brawl broke out in the crowd.
Fans have recalled how the controversial Emmy-winning stand-up comedian was performing at a packed RAC Arena on Thursday night when a commotion that involved yelling and swearing broke out in a top tier at the back of the venue.
No footage of the wild scenes has emerged as Chappelle has maintained a strict no-phones policy at his performances for at least six years.
It's understood Chappelle was discussing how he was famously tackled on stage in LA's Hollywood Bowl by an audience member almost a year ago when all hell broke loose.
Chappelle was spotted arriving at a Perth Airport private jet hangar early Friday morning following the drama-filled first concert of his Australian tour.
He was casually dressed in a black singlet top, black pants and white sneakers.
Chappelle will perform two shows at Sydney Olympic Park this weekend, several days after he was seen meeting fans and taking selfies outside a Jamaican restaurant in inner-city Surry Hills.
Fans at Thursday night's performance praised Chappelle on his professionalism.
'Dave Chappelle showed me he is the GOAT in Perth tonight and an absolute professional. Shame some bogans in the crowd decided to have a fight half way through his set,' one man tweeted.
'I was most impressed with how quickly he got the crowd back.'
Many in the confused crowd were unsure whether the fight was real or part of Chappelle's show.
'About halfway through the set, there was a lot of yelling, swearing, and commotion coming from one of the top-tiers up the back,' an attendee told The West Australian.
'When he realised a fight had broken out, he cracked a joke about their crappy behaviour, before quickly moving on.
'It was an awesome show and luckily wasn’t ruined by the brawl. Dave Chappelle and the arena staff handled it really well.'
It's understood it took 10 minutes for security guards to break up the melee.
Chappelle will also do two shows in Melbourne next weekend before heading to Brisbane, followed by Auckland.
Tickets to his Sydney shows at Qudos Bank Arena start from $188.
Chapelle has previously explained the reasons behind his strict no-phone policy.
'So I knew that anything I said in the room I was saying to everybody whether they were in the room or not, which is not an empowering feeling as a comedian,' he told US talk show Jimmy Kimmel in 2017.
'It's like Fight Club rules apply. What I'm saying to you is I'd rather just keep it in the room.
'The other thing is, comedians need the element of surprise so if someone sees the joke that I'm doing before I get to that city then I got to do all new jokes and I couldn't write fast enough.
'I say a lot of crazy s***, It's not malicious but there you go.'
Chappelle sparked widespread backlash in 2021 for material in his Netflix comedy special 'The Closer' that some in the LGBTQ+ community said ridiculed transgender people.
His supporters viewed it as a cry against cancel culture.
The special even spurred a response from transgender star Caitlyn Jenner, who also defended the comedian for his comments.
In the special, Chappelle joked women view trans women the same way black people might view white women wearing blackface.
He also said women are entitled to feel anger toward trans women, since Jenner won Glamour magazine's 2015 Woman of the Year award.
'I'd be mad as s*** if I was a woman,' Chappelle sarcastically said in one bit that had been deemed problematic.

Why you talking about buffalo?
March 2020, Leavitt interview.
He was asked if he thought “ritualistic sex abuse” is real.
“Yeah,” Leavitt whispered. “I think it occurs.”
Leavitt went on to describe Hamblin.
“I know some victims of it. I know some victims of it. I was not in a position to prosecute it,” Leavitt said. “He was into Native American stuff, had killed deer, and got deer hearts and drank their blood and drank the deer’s blood. It’s all – there's some pretty goofy people in the world.”
“When I was a law student, this therapist was my elder’s quorum president with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was my neighbor. I had a family connection… There was no organized ring of abuse. It was debunked more than ten years ago.”

BUFFALO FOR A BABY?
https://www.fox13now.com/news/fox-13-investigates/fox-13-investigates-video-raises-questions-about-utah-co-attorneys-adoption-of-native-american-child
The video was entered into evidence as part of a human trafficking investigation into David Leavitt
The 17-minute clip first shows Leavitt expressing his struggle with the decision whether to pursue the adoption.
Leavitt went on to explain how he tried to broker a deal with the Northern Cheyenne Tribe in Montana, offering them the ability to export buffalo to Ukraine.
Although he is not blood-related to the child, the little girl was considered Leavitt’s step-foster-great niece.
>offering them the ability to export buffalo to Ukraine
FOX 13 News has confirmed the tribal president at the time was Lawrence Jace Killsback.
“And I say to him, ‘I’m here for two reasons,’” Leavitt described. “I said, ‘I’m here to tell you the second reason first, but I’ll tell you the first reason second – but before I tell you the second reason, I’ll tell you a story.’”
Leavitt’s story touched on the importance of family. Then it highlighted his close friendship with former Ukranian president Victor Yuschenko.
“Victor and I have this goal of introducing buffalo into western Ukraine,” Leavitt recounted, “and you’re a sovereign nation, and you have a buffalo herd, and Ukraine is a sovereign nation, and it doesn’t have a buffalo herd, but it wants one, and so I’m here to see if we can form a bilateral agreement between the people of the Northern Cheyenne and the people of Ukraine to introduce buffalo to western Ukraine.”
“At that point, (Killsback) was all ears,” Leavitt continued. “And I said, ‘That’s the second reason why I’m here. The first reason why I’m here is this. We want to adopt one of your people.’”
Leavitt said Killsback gave his blessing, but Tribal Social Services did not.
“Tribal Social Services looked at us and said, ‘We’re not giving you this baby,’” Leavitt said. “I just said, ‘You know what? You are shameless.’ I just let her have it with both barrels… There’s such a prejudice in the Native community about a non-Native adopting a Native.”
As a last-ditch effort, Leavitt said he went back to the tribal president for help.
“(Killsback) said, ‘Listen, the Leavitts are friends of the tribe… They’re assets to the tribe for more than just this,’” Leavitt said. “I left, and five minutes later the phone rang and it was the social worker saying, ‘I think I’ve figured out a way to get this child to you.’”
Leavitt said he took home the child that same day in 2017.
