How are the clones created in Star Wars

Asked 4 years ago

In Star Wars, has it been mentioned how the clone troopers & any other clones are created? By that I mean, was somatic cell nuclear transfer the method that was used?

There's no description of the process by which clones are initiated in the films or any of the canon books, other than that donor DNA (courtesy of Jango Fett for the clone troopers) is required.

Interestingly, fresh infusions of DNA are evidently required on an ongoing basis in order to prevent the clones from becoming sluggish and incompetent.

Lama Su: Ever since the unfortunate Death of Jango Fett, we have had to stretch his DNA to produce more clones. However, I have noticed this unit of clones have been … deficient

The Clones Wars: Arc Troopers

Moving into the Legends canon, we have this description in the Dark Force Sourcebook

Cloning takes a Human cell, and duplicates its genetic code. The code is implanted in a cell and as the cell grows into a Human, it will create an exact duplicate of the cell donor

I think also there has been no mention of clones being done as they are on earth where the embryo is implanted in a host and born, but all seem to have been done completely out of body so to speak. –

@Scott.Bell - Yes, they use cloning chambers, evidently. –

Human Cloning Is Real, Here’s What You Need to Know

A scientific breakthrough raises many serious questions.

Jonathan Coppage

Human cloning is real.

Yesterday, the prominent scientific journal Cell published a paper by scientists at Oregon Health & Science University announcing that they had successfully derived stem cell lines from cloned human embryos. Some context is necessary, however, to start to grasp the implications of what has taken place.

First of all, a brief primer to the science. Cloning is more commonly referred to in scientific circles as “somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT),” where scientists take the DNA from an adult (somatic) cell and transfer it into an unfertilized egg, which has had its own DNA removed. Normally to begin developing into an embryo, a fetus, and ultimately an adult human being, the egg has to be fertilized by a sperm to which kick off the series of coordinated steps that constitute human development.

Instead of having the genetic material from two parents combine into a unique new life, however, cloning takes the full genetic information from an adult and places it into the emptied egg. These researchers immersed the egg in a caffeine solution and delivered regular electrical shocks, among other techniques, forcing it to enter development, dividing and growing until it reached “blastocyst” stage, where a protective outer layer called the trophoblast surrounds the mass of inner cells (ICM) that will constitute the myriad parts of a human body, and being.

I always thought the idea of school counselors was a farce.

When I was in highschool we had guidance counselors that were supposed to help kids to pick a profession and find secondary schooling to go to after graduation from high school. And to help choose high school classes that would be advantageous to a future career.

Then all of these "school shootings" started to happen and the MSM kept talking about how the "school counselors" would be available to the students to help them to cope with their grief after the traumatic event.

Pfffft. That's a parent's job. These loser school counselors are trying to take over what the parents are supposed to be doing, guiding their own children. Parents shouldn't be letting strangers steer their kids in the direction that the devil wants them to go.
