TRUMP: ‘SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON!’

In yet another unsettling twist in the ongoing saga of Biden’s unsecured America, a Chinese spy balloon has been spotted in U.S. airspace, multiple sources have reported.

According to a report from Fox News, the Chinese balloon craft was spotted this week, with the Pentagon announcing that it was tracking its progress. Per the outlet, the Chinese Communist government said that the craft was indeed Chinese and claimed that it had blown off course.

“SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON!” Trump stated simply on Truth Social on Friday.

Conservatives across social media echoed the president’s sentiment, unsettled by the Chinese government’s craft hovering above American soil.

“I’m told there’s a balloon that needs to be taken care of?” Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake commented on Twitter. She attached a picture of herself kneeling in an open field with a rifle in tow.

According to CBS, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley reportedly recommended against taking action to bring down the balloon because of the danger of debris hitting the ground and harming civilians.

Social media users on Thursday night began circulating videos and photos of the Chinese balloon as it drifted across open skies. Rep. Lauren Beoebert, R-Colo., remarked, “US officials have admitted that they were monitoring the Chinese spy balloon since it flew over the Aleutian Islands. So, we didn’t shoot the balloon down over water and instead let it enter our continental airspace?”

Per Fox News, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was scheduled to make a trip to Beijing this weekend to meet with President Xi, but his visit has been canceled in light of the appearance of the Chinese spy balloon, which has continued to pass over the continental U.S.

On Friday morning, a spokesperson for the Pentagon told the press, “We acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information, and I will just leave it at that.”

China’s Explanation For Suspect Spy Balloon Is Completely Absurd On Every Level

michael February 3, 2023 SHARE

On Friday, China’s foreign ministry attempted to provide an explanation for a suspected spy balloon flying over the United States, however, what they said is so absurd and ridiculous that it’s mildly insulting that they thought we’d actually believe it. What do they say the balloon actually is? A “civilian airship” that was pushed off course. And I moonlight as the Easter Bunny as a holiday side hustle. Good grief.

According to The Daily Wire, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement expressing regret after the Pentagon announced on Thursday that it was tracking what is believed to be a Chinese spy balloon. And, of course, if that is indeed what it is, you won’t be able to count on President Joe Biden to take any substantial action to get rid of it because we all know how much he loves China. After all, if the Hunter Biden laptop is to be believed, the communist country made him very wealthy.

“The airship is from China. It is a civilian airship used for research, mainly meteorological, purposes,” China’s foreign ministry went on to say in a statement. “Affected by the Westerlies and with limited self-steering capability, the airship deviated far from its planned course.”

“The Chinese side regrets the unintended entry of the airship into US airspace due to” what they claimed was forces outside of its control, the statement revealed. “The Chinese side will continue communicating with the US side and properly handle this unexpected situation caused by force majeure.”

“The incident has altered the plans of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was scheduled to meet with Chinese officials in Beijing on Sunday and Monday. Because of the aircraft, Blinken’s trip has been postponed indefinitely, according to The Wall Street Journal,” the report stated.

In the early part of Friday morning, the national defense of Canada went on to reveal they were monitoring a “potential second incident” involving yet another suspected Chinese aircraft. As of this writing, China has not addressed this claim. Now things are getting a little spooky. What in the world is going on here? Is China about to make some big moves on the geopolitical scale? Something sure isn’t right with all of this.

“A high-altitude surveillance balloon was detected and its movements are being actively tracked by [North American Aerospace Defense Command] NORAD,” Canada’s national defense remarked in a statement, according to the U.K.’s Independent.

“Canadians are safe and Canada is taking steps to ensure the security of its airspace, including the monitoring of a potential second incident,” the statement added.

According to Pentagon spokesperson Brigadier General Pat Ryder, the U.S. Defense Department was tracking what they believed to be a Chinese spy balloon over our country’s airspace above the state of Montana.

“We continue to track and monitor it closely,” Ryder continued. “Once the balloon was detected the U.S. government acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information.”

Ryder then said that the balloon was “traveling at an an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground.”

As you might expect, sightings of the balloon have sparked national security concerns among lawmakers working on Capitol Hill. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican, has referred to the situation as a “brazen disregard for U.S. sovereignty” and has called on the president to take action immediately.

Fat chance of that happening, as stated earlier.

“China’s brazen disregard for U.S. sovereignty is a destabilizing action that must be addressed, and President Biden cannot be silent. I am requesting a Gang of Eight briefing,” McCarthy posted on Twitter Thursday evening.

“The Gang of Eight, a group of Republican and Democrat Congressional leaders briefed on classified national security matters, was reportedly briefed on the suspected spy balloon late on Thursday afternoon,” the Daily Wire said.

As of this writing, the Pentagon has decided against shooting the balloon down, despite the fact they are highly confident the craft is being utilized by Beijing to collect surveillance data. Many officials within the Defense Department feel that bringing down the balloon poses too great a risk to individuals on the ground.

Six states will act as a testing ground for a new wave of balloon-based surveillance beacons which are backed by the U.S. military.

Documents filed with the FCC and obtained by The Guardian detail an initiative to launch up to 25 unmanned solar balloons that will rove 250 miles across the central U.S.

Between now and September, the balloons will hover at 65,000 feet over the states of South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri and Illinois.

According to the documents, they will '[c]onduct high altitude… tests over South Dakota to provide a persistent surveillance system to locate and deter narcotic trafficking and homeland security threats.'
