House Judiciary subpoenas FBI Director Wray on targeting of parents at school board meetings

Jordan and committee Republicans have been reviewing whistleblower information that the White House "colluded with the [National School Boards Association] to manufacture a pretext for the use of federal law enforcement authorities against parents" since 2021, and are continuing the probe—this time, with subpoena power.

The NSBA had called for the use of measures, including the Patriot Act, which is typically used to address terrorism.

Email suggests Education Secretary Miguel Cardona asked for school board ‘domestic terror’ letter

In the Sept. 29 dispatch to President Biden from Slaven, he suggested that parents who object to mask mandates and the imposition of critical race theory in classrooms are engaging in “a form of domestic terrorism” and asked the administration to “examine appropriate enforceable actions” under a raft of legislation — including the post-9/11 Patriot Act.

President Biden's Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, reportedly " solicited the much-criticized letter from the National School Boards Association (NSBA) " that compared concerned parents to " domestic terrorists " in September 2021.

NSBA's 2019 annual conference featured a keynote address from Angela Davis, a woman who bought and allegedly supplied the shotgun used by her Black Panther lover to kidnap and murder a judge. Davis' letters to her lover expressing unequivocal solidarity with his commitment to political violence (i.e., "domestic terrorism") are a matter of well-established public record. And Davis' record is a source of pride for NSBA, which boasted that she "draws upon her own experiences in the early seventies as a person who spent eighteen months in jail and on trial, after being placed on the FBI's 'Ten Most Wanted List.'"
