Catholic school suspends teen for remainder of year for believing God created 2 genders, protesting transgender students using girls' bathrooms

A student has reportedly been suspended by a Catholic high school for the remainder of the school year for believing that God created two genders and protesting against transgender students using girls' bathrooms.

Since November, Josh Alexander has allegedly been suspended from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ontario. Alexander was allegedly punished by the school for organizing a protest against transgender students using girls' bathrooms. Alexander said he launched the demonstration after two girls at his school confided in him that they were uncomfortable sharing bathrooms with biological males.

Alexander, an 11th-grade student, was reportedly barred from attending St. Joseph’s Catholic High School for the remainder of the school year.

Alexander informed The Epoch Times that St. Joseph’s Catholic High School told him that his attendance at the school would be "detrimental to the physical and mental well-being" of transgender students.

Alexander said the school labeled his beliefs as "offensive" and "bullying" because there was a transgender student in his class.

Alexander insists that he has no plans to be violent in defending his ideology, and doesn't feel as though he is bullying anyone.

"Offense is obviously defined by the offended. I expressed my religious beliefs in class and it spiraled out of control," Alexander explained. "Not everybody’s going to like that. That doesn't make me a bully. It doesn't mean I'm harassing anybody. They express their beliefs and I express mine. Mine obviously don't fit the narrative."

He said, "This whole issue isn't about identity. It's about biology and morality."

Alexander told The Post Millennial, "They're using it as a technicality to say that they're not disciplining me, and it's just a form of exclusion to protect the other students."

However, Alexander is already enrolled at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, which reportedly bars him from enrolling at any other education programs.

Alexander said, "I am unable to do any other form of education because as long as I'm enrolled in the Catholic board, I'm not allowed to take an alternative route of education. So I'm enrolled, but I'm not allowed to attend school. So right now I actually have no form of education."

Alexander stated that he plans to file a human rights complaint on the grounds of religious discrimination.

Alexander is appealing his suspension. However, his appeal is reportedly being held up because Alexander previously asked for parental independence so as not to drag his parents into this quandary.

Alexander’s lawyer James Kitchen said, "He does live with his parents and they have an excellent relationship. He seeks guidance from them and they gladly give it to him. But he runs his own life. And that’s actually by design, because that’s how his parents raised him to be."

St. Joseph’s Catholic High School principal Derek Lennox and Mark Searson, the director of education for the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board, both said they could not comment on the situation.

Trudeau's internet censorship bill passes Canadian senate

The bill passed with 43 "yeas" and only 15 "nays."

The Canadian Senate on Thursday voted to pass online censorship Bill C-11, sending the controversial piece of legislation back to the House of Commons and one step closer to becoming law.

"Tonight, Justin Trudeau’s Fake 'Independent' Senate passed the awful Bill #C11. Now, it returns to the #HoC," wrote Conservative Sen. Denis Batters on Twitter.

"Only 3 Trudeau-appointed senators voted NO. From #Sask, only Sen. Wallin + I voted NO. Zero Alberta senators voted NO," she lamented.

The bill passed with 43 "yeas" and only 15 "nays."

The Online Streaming Act failed to pass the Senate in 2021 after being accepted by the House of Commons, was reintroduced with amendments in February 2022, passed the House again June, and now after finally passing the Senate this week with even newer amendments will be heading back to the lower house.

The text of the bill describes the plan by Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party to increase the government's ability to censor controversial and unpopular speech on the internet, stating that the legislation would "specify that the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission… must regulate and supervise the Canadian broadcasting system."

In a statement to The Post Millennial, John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms said the purported goal of the OSA is not particularly controversial: to bring major streaming companies like Netflix, Disney, and Spotify under the authority of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).

"But under the OSA, the CRTC's new authority will not be limited to these large entertainment giants," Carpay said. "Rather, the OSA will empower the CRTC to assume jurisdiction via regulation over any 'program' (audio or audiovisual online content) that is 'monetizable' because it 'directly or indirectly generates revenues.'"

According to the freedom activist, the Liberal's bill would give the CRTC power to regulate any online streaming service they wanted, including that of private citizens.

"In the long run, the CRTC could end up regulating much of the content posted on major social media, even where the content is generated or uploaded by religious, political, and charitable non-profits," Carpay explained.

Critics of the censorship bill have likened it to the policies of authoritarian states like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.

"Wake up Canada, Trudeau's Senate passed Bill C-11 today…aka…internet censorship…which is anything that opposes their 'narrative.' Stalin and Hitler did the same," Canadian social media commentator Liz Churchill wrote.

Steve Bannon on the War Room – “We’re Hurdling Towards a Kinetic War”

“We’re Hurdling towards a Kinetic War” – Steve Bannon

Steve Bannon had Ed Dowd on his War Room. They began by discussing the economy but the subject quickly turned towards a kinetic war with China.

Dowd shared:

I’ve been talking to some capital market guys, some hedge fund guys, and they’re thinking kinetic war is coming. It solves a lot of problems. It takes the vaccine issue off the map. It takes all sorts of defaults off the map and you can consolidate power under Marshall Law. That’s what people are thinking… World War III is on the table…

When you think about the vaccine problem, when you think about the debt problem, it comes into focus that the system wants war.

Bannon responded with the following:

Folks, this is 1937. We’re hurdling towards a kinetic war. We are hurdling towards a kinetic war. I mean a kinetic war and this ain’t Afghanistan. It’s not Iraq and it’s not Kuwait.

This is big league. This is China, the CCP and Russia. Our two allies. The Chinese people and the Russian people were our allies in World War II. Our allies, they took the brundt of it…

…Now because of this corrupt administrative state and deep state and the incompetence and corruption of the Biden regime. We are hurdling towards a kinetic war. And this kinetic war is going to be devastating. And if you think you can hide from it, I want the good folks in Montana that woke up today… we now know that 1/3 of the ICBMs are up there in the great north…

…If you think your head’s blowing up, you got a spy balloon over the United States and we’re not doing anything about it. We’re kinda talking about it… Shoot the frickin thing down and shoot it down now. And tell the Chinese, you ever send another one up, we’re going to shoot some other stuff down.

43-year-old USTA tennis champion collapses on court and dies

A 43-year-old Nevada man collapsed and died on the court during a tennis match at Red Rock Country Club on January 29, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Ryan Vannah was pronounced dead at Summerlin Hospital later in the day.

"He took impeccable care of his health," Tami Vannah Kang, the deceased man's sister, told LVRJ. "We did not see this coming," she added.

Ryan Vannah reportedly "dropped to a knee" during a tiebreaker mixed doubles match, placed his hands on the court, and lay down.

Despite doctors' best efforts to revive the Red Rock Country Club tennis champion, they were unable to restart his heart.

Vannah's sister-in-law, Dr. Catherine Vannah, was among the people who attempted to revive him on the scene, according to LVRJ.

The coroner's office had not ruled on an official cause of death as of Tuesday, LVRJ reported. However, Summerlin Hospital medical staff said they believed he was on the wrong medication for his blood pressure.

UK Government Looks to Ban Misogyny on Social Media in ‘Online Safety’ Law

The British government is reportedly considering a measure to force social media companies to ban misogyny online as a part of the pending Online Safety Bill.

The long-awaited legislation to introduce even more restrictions on online speech in Britain could be amended to allow Britain’s broadcasting regulator to fine online firms up to ten per cent of their global revenue should they fail to properly police allegedly misogynistic content on their sites.

The measure, which is being pushed by a group of Conservative (Tory) Party peers, including former David Cameron aide Baroness Bertin, Baroness Morgan, and Baroness Newlove, has also drawn support from the leftist Labour Party, The Telegraph reported.

While Culture Secretary Michelle Donelan is said to be of the opinion that the misogyny amendment is unnecessary, as she believes the current form of the bill already empowers the government to censor such content, should Labour follow through on backing the Tory peers’ measure the government may have to acquiesce or face a defeat of the bill in the House of Lords.

The push to ban supposed misogyny came in response to the government’s decision to remove a controversial provision in the legislation that would have required social media sites to police vaguely defined “legal but harmful” content, which many have warned would further hinder freedom of speech in the country.

One of the backers of the amendment, former women’s minister Baroness Morgan, argued that online abuse hinders women’s ability to express themselves, questioning: “What about the right to access and participation online without being abused and harassed?

“There are going to be some specific criminal offences in the Bill, but they don’t address the misogyny that has grown up not just on small high-harm platforms but right the way across mainstream platforms,” she complained.

The former women’s minister cited threats of rape and death threats that are “very much directed at women because they are women and girls” as examples of statements that do not “necessarily break the illegal threshold,” despite both clearly being criminal offences in the United Kingdom already.

“Women are being abused on a daily basis online. It is a Wild West and women are being disproportionately affected by it,” Bertin claimed, without evidence.

Ukraine said to demand Israel denounce Russia, as foreign minister due to visit Kyiv

Report says Jerusalem also asked to approve $500 million loan; Ukrainian official: Meeting between Eli Cohen, Zelensky depends on Israeli willingness to take steps in our favor

Citing Israeli and Ukrainian officials, the report says Ukraine has also asked Israel to approve a $500 million loan; treat hundreds of wounded soldiers and civilians; and for the new government to commit to continue with plans to develop a civil rocket warning system, among others.

A Ukrainian official quoted in the report says a potential meeting between Cohen and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky depends on Israel’s willingness to take steps in Kyiv’s favor.

“The president won’t meet Cohen for a photo-op,” the official says, though an Israeli official has predicted that they will meet.
