Edward Douglas was a passenger aboard the Hindenburg who had previously hired a Jewish Secretary. His office while working for General Motors was in Frankfurt, housed in the same building as the German Ministry of Propaganda. Goebbels caught wind of his jew secretary and demanded he fire the secretary but Douglas refused and the two of them had their phone lines tapped, were followed around the city and had his office broken into. He had enough and then moved office to London.
