The second amendment is pretty clear about any type of regulations or infringements on owning a firearm.
The founding fathers intended we invoke their spirit and the spirit of the revolution when interpreting the constitution. Back then the founding fathers as well as everyone else thought owning a firearm was just common sense and one of those "duh" things.
