"The 'kids in cages' freakout is following the same trajectory as Democrat-media pushes for gun control. It begins with a massive coordinated media campaign designed to create a sense of panic and a swell of blind emotion.
The emotional surge is then weaponized for a "do something" political drive. The public is stampeded into believing that something, anything must be done immediately, abandoning reasoned deliberation and prudent legislative procedures.
American voters begin to resent the left-wingers shoving them into a policy bus with "DESTINATION UNKNOWN" on the front. They start asking questions. They ask exactly how Democrat political demands line up with the "crisis" the DNC Media is hyping.
The Democrats panic and redouble their efforts, perceiving that if they don't win quickly, before people have a chance to think hard about what they're demanding, they won't get what they want.
Democrats also tend to overestimate the level of blind panic the media has created, because they are voracious consumers of their own press. They overreach, believing their momentum to be irresistible.
Democrat political leaders also underestimate the backlash against the antics of their supporters. They think street theater, digital mobs, boycotts, and even physical violence (which the media will NEVER ask them to condemn) intimidate opponents instead of hardening resistance.
The key ingredient is time. The Democrat strategy only works if Republican politicians (the true target of this strategy) can be stampeded into swiftly making policy and legislative concessions. If the public has time to think and ask tough questions, GOP spines begin to stiffen.
Democrats get bonus time on the clock if Republicans or docile "conservative" pundits agree with the fierce moral urgency of their crusade, even if they quibble with a few of Left's specific policy demands. Allowing the Left to frame the debate helps them enormously.
Remember that silencing dissent is a key element of left-wing ideology. Their manufactured-outrage panic drives are designed to intimidate dissenters into silence, make them afraid to ask tough questions, make them feel isolated.
The Left can't keep that up for long, even with 90% media dominance and social media flash mobs on standby. People tend to network and discover they're NOT alone in their resistance. Others are asking the same tough questions they are. The Left has no answer except "SHUT UP!"
So all of this has to be wrapped up quickly or it falls apart. Democrats' window of opportunity to force major policy concessions through orchestrated freakouts is measured in days, a few weeks at best.
Too much contrary information breaks through after that. The odds of left-wing shock troops going overboard and enraging the voters
Democrats wish to intimidate rises with each passing day. The game ends when a critical mass of the public grows ANNOYED with them.
How do you fight back? Remember that GOP politicians are the true targets. Stay in touch with them, let them know their constituents expect to be represented. Vigorously shield them against panic, remembering that they live inside the Beltway media bubble. /end"
