The new system is a balloon-based vaccine delivery system that is meant to be used with vaccines that are injected into a muscle or under the skin. Pfizer released this new system in an effort to comply with the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) policy to not send patient data to countries that have not been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
