Snowden didn't really do much aside from put names to individual programs that were in use and show how they were used with nice looking slides for normies to understand.

The information of mass spy programs like Carnivore, DCS1000, Echelon I & II, & Einstein etc was plentiful on the internet as far back as 1995 IIRC, if you knew where to look.
