well, I suppose the first step in solving that, if you feel it's a problem, is to stop doing it.

you let them dehumanize you into being just what they want you to be. So you feed them and they feed you. You become them

I suggest you give up this obsession. I'd start immediately.

I know how hard these things can be.

ah, he says it was 'after their bedtime'

so with your conjecture the kids went into their bedrooms and then, after bed time, got drunk . . .

as for you: do your kids a favor and don't go on with your stupid confessions.

Father Micheal is in the confessional

after the mass. tell him.

bragging about being drunk with your children is not smart behavior, do you agree?

yes, many do it and then regret it years later looking back on it.

PS: no , not every parent gets drunk around their children.

my definition of cringe is 'everything is wrong with it' and it's obvious and should have been caught, but it got through anyway.

the way you define it is different than I do. you seem to think it means 'material that makes you squeamish'.

no, Cringe is a revulsion.

if you want to understand what cringe means: when you watch old situation comedies out of Holywood sometimes the writers would go into distasteful self indulgent topics. Most of the sit comm material was OK and funny, but sometimes you have to turn away and mute the sound .

so, yes, everything is wrong with cringe and that is why it is called that. the only good thing is that it points out obvious psychological fetishing of those who impose it on others.

and hopefully they learn. You get to post it once.
