That DNA will also identify other interesting things.
Father. Mother, 16yo daughter, 2yo baby. Are they parents and children? DNA says yes. Father is indeed the father of both kids, Mother is indeed mother of the 16yo, but the 2yo has a different mother. In fact, it is the 16yo daughter who is the mother of the 2yo. Thus we have a proven case of incest.
Or, Mother, Father and 3 girls ages 9, 10, 11 on the paperwork. But they do look like they are all the same age. DNA test says that Father is the actual father of all three kids, but all three have different mothers and the Mother is not one of them. SO what is this? Is the father the proud owner of a baby farm in Mexico, and he is accompanying his product up to some buyers in the USA?
What if we had DNA from years ago?
We could tell who has come through before, or whose parents or siblings or cousins have come through before.
Should DNA be kept secret? So that blackhats can use it to find an organ donor to kidnap and murder? Or should it be kept public, so that when someone is kidnapped, we can look at their DNA record for clues in case we suspect organ theft.
