Harry Potter was a rip off of Neil Gaimans the books of Magic combined with some other tropes. While Harry does have a bunch of predictive programming Gaimans book spills a bunch more of what reality is.
does that matter? The story is what is important not who made more money.
too bad it believes in you. You are nothing but a fiction in a story that exists beyond time. The difference is as characters in that play we are allowed to have some choice but that does not mean that plot points are not inserted to create drama and to give foreshadowing for the next plot point. Most never realize they are living in a story and most people are not even real. They are shadows, hence the NPC meme. Another theory is that there are not enough souls for the number of people that exist. Not sure about that one but it is a theory. Just because you don't believe in something does not mean it is not true.
