And
โConsciousness may be associated with all quantum mechanical processes . . . since everything that occurs is ultimately the result of one or more quantum mechanical event, the universe is โinhabitedโ by an almost unlimited number of rather discrete conscious, usually non-thinking entities that are responsible for the detailed working of the universe.โ
At this point you are thinking boy, things could not get more weird than this, well hold on to your hats, things do indeed get more bizarre. We will call this phase of the Double Slit Experiment Phase B: A natural consequence of seeing particles behaving like waves was that physicists tried to think up means by which particles could be detected at each slit, then some idea could be gained of how the interference pattern was created. So the experiment was repeated with detectors set up at each slit:

As nonlinear dynamical equations are difficult to solve, nonlinear systems are commonly approximated by linear equations (linearization). This works well up to some accuracy and some range for the input values, but some interesting phenomena such as solitons, chaos,[9] and singularities are hidden by linearization. It follows that some aspects of the dynamic behavior of a nonlinear system can appear to be counterintuitive, unpredictable or even chaotic. Although such chaotic behavior may resemble random behavior, it is in fact not random. For example, some aspects of the weather are seen to be chaotic, where simple changes in one part of the system produce complex effects throughout. This nonlinearity is one of the reasons why accurate long-term forecasts are impossible with current technology.

Made it with pics I collected during the protest.
Oops here's a better one.
