As for the airports the coordinates for the runways have to be shifted every once in a while as it has something to do with magnetic north. Countless airports over my long flying career had runways moved in degrees. For example, in KFLL (Ft. Lauderdale) the runways down there were aligned 090/270 and over a period of time they would shift the alignments like 092, 093, 094 etc…… until at some point runways 09/27 became runways 10/28. Always clockwise. Haven't given it much thought as I'm recently retired now and at some point I knew all this shit. I'll have to look it up and refresh my memory.
