all of these compounds are carcinogenic, especially benzene and compounds containing the benzene ring… in concentrations of 1% to 2% benzene in air, it is fatal due to respiratory failure, butyl acrylate causes birth defects and is also a respiratory irritant… the worst is vinyl chloride because it will produce phosgene, which is a banned poison gas after WWI… phosgene is produced by the reaction of carbon monoxide and chlorine, which are abundant in this burn (smoke is a sign of incomplete burning and production of carbon monoxide and soot) and it also causes respiratory failure… also with the chlorine and benzene, chlorinated biphenyls are produced, like DDT
