Suspect in fatal Michigan State University shooting found dead
Shelter-in-place advisory lifted
The suspect in a shooting at Michigan State University that killed three people and wounded five others was found dead Monday night.
Police said he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The shelter-in-place advisory has been lifted.
In addition to the suspect, police confirmed that three others were killed and five were wounded Monday night in the shooting. Police said two of the people killed were shot at Berkey Hall and the other was shot at the Union Building.
Authorities said there are several crime scenes being processed by local and federal law enforcement officers. The identity of the suspect has yet to have been determined. A motive is unknown.
