> Why did Spain do things in 1492?
Because they officially crushed the Moors in 1491, freeing-up the Spanish crown's resources and allowing them to start on other projects.

There's moar to it, of course, but that's the quick version.
>biggest events that happened that year
Yes, and they habbened because the Spanish empire was seeking to secure their acquisitions (by getting rid of social dissidents) and expand their borders (by sending the Italian out with a Portuguese map). Both of these goals were possible after the defeat of the Moors in 1491.
I'm not sure we're really disagreeing on the major historical points.
>What about all the Moors dispersed throughout Europe today?
Most of them are in Europe illegally. They go back, or they go in the ground. Doesn't matter to me. I suppose the ones in Europe legally have a shot at assimilation and citizenship, but the European governments don't have the same laws concerning the separation of Church and State, so it makes sense that the practice of Muhammedanism is outlawed. Besides, "Islam" isn't a religion so much as a supremacist ideology - the word itself is a commandment to "submit" to their legal code, which specifically places itself above all other things.
