Many thanks, anon! Lots to dig into here. Very much appreciated. Have you watched the Netflix series “Dark”? It’s a German show but dubbed in English. Fairly interesting take on time travel knots and getting stuck in/breaking time loops. Watched it through once so far but think it will take a couple more sittings to really get everything they are offering.
Though I’m loathe to recommend netflix, I do recommend the show. It’s worth the watch, in my opinion. There is also a tangentially related show dealing with similar themes called “1899” about a lost ship called Prometheus that is done by the same group who did “Dark”. But, I’ve only watched the 1st episode so can’t rec either way. Came highly recommended, though.
