"Every Parent's Nightmare": TikTok Offering Child Predators An Easy Path To Contacting Kids

TikTok is turning into a major platform for child sexual exploitation in the United States, according to law enforcement officials, with predatory adults increasingly finding it easier to contact and manipulate minors through the Chinese app.

Since the advent of the internet, child predators have had an easy option to get in touch with minors for sexual relationships. However, TikTok is said to be worsening this problem due to its massive popularity among youngsters. Over 50 percent of American minors are estimated to use TikTok at least once every day. “The audience that’s following these children, a lot of them are adult males that have a sexual interest in children,” Jon Rouse, police veteran who heads a group targeting child sex offenders for Interpol, said to The Wall Street Journal.

“Child sex offenders will gravitate toward where there are children. Pedophiles prefer looking at videos,” he added. Billions of videos are uploaded to the app every month, with numerous minors doing all kinds of things, including talking about personal lives.

TikTok officially only allows individuals who are 13 and older to open an account. Users younger than 16 years are also not allowed to use the direct messaging feature which allows people to converse with each other privately. However, children can still falsify their age and gain access to such features.

For instance, Grady Moffett Sr., 42, is currently in a county jail in Fort Worth, Texas, on charges related to alleged sexual assault. He was able to strike up romantic conversations with a 14-year-old girl.

Both of them professed love for each other in public comments at the platform. The duo communicated with each other using TikTok’s direct messaging feature, he admitted to The Wall Street Journal.

The teen girl’s mother said that the situation was “every parent’s nightmare.” The girl told her mother that she loved Moffett because he understood her. “I felt like he kind of groomed her,” the mother told the media outlet.

YouTube censors LifeSiteNews report on WHO, UNICEF sterilizing young women in Kenya

The Big Tech video sharing platform has deleted an interview conducted by editor-in-chief John-Henry Westen with Dr. Wahome Ngare, a Kenyan obstetrician and gynecologist.

Google-owned YouTube has once again censored LifeSiteNews, this time for our reporting on a World Health Organization (WHO) tetanus vaccine used to sterilize young women of childbearing age in Kenya.

The Big Tech video sharing platform has deleted an interview conducted by editor-in-chief John-Henry Westen with Dr. Wahome Ngare, a Kenyan obstetrician and gynecologist. In the interview, Dr. Ngare speaks out about how the WHO’s tetanus vaccine campaign, carried out in conjunction with the Kenyan government, was actually intended as a population control effort.

LifeSiteNews has appealed the removal of the video and YouTube’s strike against The John-Henry Westen Channel, which bans us from posting new content for 7 days. The strike does not expire until May 18; two more strikes would mean a permanent ban from YouTube.

The move comes just after YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced her resignation after 17 years at the helm, amid a lawsuit taken up by the U.S. Supreme Court that claims YouTube’s algorithm helped Islamic State terrorists recruit new members. Big Tech companies may routinely try to avoid accountability for their selective enforcement of content rules, but LifeSiteNews does not fear the truth and will never stop reporting the truth.

In its “vaccine misinformation policy,” YouTube refuses to allow “medical misinformation about currently administered vaccines that are approved and confirmed to be safe and effective by local health authorities and by the World Health Organization (WHO),” including any claims that vaccines are “part of a depopulation agenda.”

NSW Liberals suspend upper house MP Peter Poulos over leaking of explicit photos

The NSW Liberal Party has suspended upper house MP Peter Poulos after revelations he leaked explicit photos of a female colleague five years ago.

Key points:

On Friday, the upper house MP resigned after it emerged he had leaked images five years ago

The Liberal Party said Mr Poulos's conduct fell short of what was expected from members

After initially supporting Mr Poulos, on Saturday the premier called for the party to act

It came a day after Mr Poulos tendered his resignation as parliamentary secretary over the issue, and just weeks before voters go to the polls on March 25.

"This afternoon, the State Director, in consultation with the State President, exercised campaign powers to suspend Peter Poulos from the NSW Division for a period of 6 months," a spokesperson for the Liberal Party said in a statement.

"While Mr Poulos has apologised for his actions to the person concerned and to the community, his conduct fell short of the standard of behaviour expected of members of our party."

In his apology to Robyn Preston, the woman in the pictures, who was running for preselection for the seat of Hawkesbury at the time of the incident, Mr Poulos called his action a "regrettable mistake".

Ms Preston this week told reporters she had accepted his apology and considered him a friend.

It now means the moderate-faction MP has been disendorsed as a Liberal candidate and will be removed from the upper house ticket for next month's election.

On Wednesday, Premier Dominic Perrottet stood by Mr Poulos's candidacy, saying people made mistakes and Mr Poulos apologised for his.

By earlier Saturday, the premier had distanced himself from the embattled MP, calling on the party to act.

"When that situation occurred years ago I was appalled, horrified, and disgusted. I was very close with Robyn Preston … I know the distress at that time that that caused her," he said.

"There is no place for that behaviour in any workplace, I have made that very clear. I expect the New South Wales Liberal Party to act appropriately as well."

The party will now look to urgently look to fill his vacancy on the ticket.

In 2021, Mr Poulos was appointed the parliamentary secretary for Wollongong and the Illawarra.

Prior to that, from 2004 to 2016 he was a councillor for Rockdale City Council where he served as deputy mayor for one term.

He has been a member of the NSW Liberal Party since 1993.

Florida Teacher in Hot Water After Libs of TikTok Exposes Video of White Students Acting Like Servants for Black Students

On Friday, Libs of TikTok shared videos of a woke Florida teacher featuring middle school students. In the videos, teacher Ethan Hooper, a language arts teacher at Howard Middle School in Orange Country, Florida involves minor students in twisted Black History Month “skits.”

In one video, Hooper mocks the decision by state education officials to remove inappropriate books from Florida schools.

Another shows white students acting like servants for black students.

After facing backlash for the “skits”, Hopper has allegedly been placed on administrative leave.

Florida’s Voice reports:

Hooper took down the videos after Florida’s Voice asked the district whether it was appropriate behavior for a teacher.

“I am appalled at the behavior and judgment of the teacher who posted the inappropriate videos using his students as political props,” said Superintendent Maria Vazquez.

“This is not free speech — it is the exploitation of our students for political purposes and it will not be tolerated in our school district.”

Orange County Public Schools Media Manager Michael Ollendorff said the district would “not tolerate” children being used as political pawns in the classroom.

“Any employee of who creates videos or other content with students in an effort to exploit them for political purposes will be immediately removed from the classroom, placed on administrative leave and swift action will be taken to terminate employment,” Ollendorff said.

The series of videos were labeled “P.O.V. A Florida Classroom” and featured the teacher having students repeat that they “shall not read books,” “books are bad,” and “if I read it’s approved by the feds.”

Putin must turn ‘360 degrees’ – German FM

Russia’s former president has ridiculed Annalena Baerbock’s grasp of geometry

Russian President Vladimir Putin must “change by 360 degrees” in order for Ukraine to be safe, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock told the Munich Security Conference. In other words, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev pointed out, he must continue doing exactly what he is doing.

Appearing alongside American Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on Saturday, Baerbock was asked whether there is “any chance of Ukraine being safe in the long term” if Putin remains in office.

“If he doesn’t change by 360 degrees, no,” the German FM replied.

https://twitter.com/Levi_godman/status/1626959960700600323

“It’s hilarious that Europe is run by such ignorant people,” former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev wrote on social media. “There is no doubt, connoisseur of geometry, that it will be so,” he mocked. “We are holding our ground.”

Baerbock, Blinken, and Kuleba spoke at a panel entitled ‘Visions for Ukraine,’ in which the three attempted to sketch out an image of what the country might look like post-conflict. All three agreed that to get there, Russia must unconditionally withdraw from territory claimed by Kiev, which includes the Russian region of Crimea and the four formerly Ukrainian regions that voted to join Russia in September.

Trump Attacks GOP Mega Donors, Calls Them ‘Globalist And Pro China Losers’

Trump directed his negative comments toward prominent establishment Republican donors like the Koch brothers and Ken Griffin

Donald Trump ripped into GOP mega-donors in a Truth Social post on Thursday.

Former President Trump directed his negative comments toward prominent establishment Republican donors like the Koch brothers and Ken Griffin (a large DeSantis supporter).

Trump shared a Mediate article detailing comments Steve Bannon made where he discussed establishment billionaire donors attacking Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Bannon ridiculed the Republican party’s “oligarchs” for being “1,000% anti-Trump.” The right-wing podcaster went on to suggest these so-called oligarchs will only support Trump when it’s fashionable.

“They’re never going to stand up. Right? As soon as Trump’s hot they are going to back Trump as soon as Trump’s not hot, boom, gone. Right? And right now they are absolutely 1,000% anti-Trump.”

Bannon added:

Just understand that, anti-Trump, from the Kochs all the way across the board, the Singer to Ken Griffin, the whole, you know, the whole deal. The whole deal. So this is why people go, you can’t talk about tax increases until you get this thing to a surplus, until you get the Federal Reserve to stop printing money and destroying you and your financial well-being and your family, your children and your grandchildren.

Bannon got on the topic of Republican mega-donors after news broke that billionaire megadonor Charles Koch would be working against Trump’s 2024 campaign.

In 2018, Charles Koch and his brother David attacked Trump for his “protectionist” foreign policy and trade barriers.

At the time, Trump responded on Twitter. “The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade. I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more.”

Navy eradicates fitness test failures in campaign to improve retention

Sailors with a physical fitness assessment failure on their record will receive a clean slate that will allow them to remain in the service, under a new Navy policy unveiled Thursday.

The shift is part of a Navy-wide campaign aimed at improving accessions, retention and attrition so the service can hit its end-strength goals for 2023, according to Rear Adm. James Waters III, director of military personnel, plans and policy.

“This is connected because it clearly affects attrition, right? It will reduce attrition if we do not separate sailors based on past PFA failures,” Waters told reporters Wednesday. “But it came about through all of the analysis for this campaign plan, through a recognition that we don’t want to punish sailors because gyms were closed during the pandemic. We don’t want to disadvantage sailors.”

The policy, which the Navy labeled a “one-time reset,” means all active duty sailors and those in the Navy Reserve who want to remain in the Navy and advance will now have zero PFA failures prior to 2023, allowing commanding officers to reinstate retention and advancement recommendations. The policy does not apply to other programs that evaluate past PFA failures, including officer commissioning programs, selection or screening boards, and special duty screenings.

The Career Progression Department will stop processing officers for administrative separation due to past PFA failures. For enlisted personnel, their command will issue a special evaluation to restore retention and advancement eligibility, according to a naval administrative message.

“We expect this reset to balance challenges sailors had in preparing for and completing physical fitness assessments throughout the pandemic and also allow experienced and talented sailors to remain in the Navy,” Waters said. “We think this reset could allow up to 1,500 sailors to remain in the service who might otherwise be separated. Requirements and standards remain constant.”

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the Navy conducting a single PFA each calendar year, rather than two. Waters said there is no plan currently to resume two PFAs in FY24.

The Navy surpassed its retention goals for FY22 and is currently ahead on retention goals this fiscal year, Navy Times previously reported. The service met its active duty enlisted recruitment goals in FY22, but failed to meet recruitment target numbers for active duty and reserve officers, as well as reserve enlisted personnel.

As a result, Waters said the Navy understands it is facing a “challenging” recruiting environment due to a lower propensity to serve, fewer potential recruits who are eligible to serve, and the current competitive labor market. Such challenges require the Navy to implement “course corrections” like this new policy, he said.

Other initiatives launched in recent months aimed at improving retention and recruiting include suspending enlisted high-year tenure for two years to permit sailors who surpassed their high-year tenure threshold to remain in the service.

The Navy also launched a pilot program in December allowing sailors who scored lower on the Armed Forces Qualification Test as part of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery to still join the service. The change means prospective sailors who score between the 10th and 30th percentile on the AFQT can still join the Navy as long as their ASVAB individual line scores are high enough to qualify for a Navy rating.

“We’ve got to continue to be efficient,” Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro told Defense News, a sister publication, while on travel Dec. 8. “We’ve got to continue to provide incentives for our sailors to want to serve at sea, for example, motivate them. Not just from a financial perspective, but from a mission perspective and reward them in terms of promotions and things of that nature.”

Scientology leader David Miscavige faces human trafficking charges

A court filing on Tuesday revealed 62-year-old David Miscavige, the leader of the Church of Scientology, over the last 10 months has been served 27 times in two different states with a federal lawsuit accusing him of human trafficking.

According to Fox News, US Judge Julie Sneed ruled that Miscavige "is actively concealing his whereabouts or evading service" and is "deemed to have been properly served as of the date of this order (Feb. 14, 2023), and therefore has 21 days to answer or otherwise respond," to the lawsuit's allegations.

In her ruling, Sneed wrote, "While Miscavige repeatedly asserts that Plaintiffs have attempted to effectuate service at the wrong address or addresses at which he was not present, Miscavige has never provided Plaintiffs or the court with the correct address."

A spokesperson for the Church of Scientology, Karin Pouw, said in a statement, "The case is nothing but blatant harassment and was brought and is being litigated for the purpose of harassment and hoping that harassment will extort a pay day."

"The allegations in the complaint are absurd, ridiculous, scurrilous and blatantly false," Pouw added.

According to Sneed's ruling, "Indeed, following his counsel's appearance in this matter, Plaintiffs have continued their attempts to effectuate service on Miscavige through his counsel and other identified addresses, and have sought to have Miscavige's counsel provide an adequate address at which to effectuate service. Miscavige's counsel has declined."

According to the New York Post, former top Scientology executive Mike Rinder said, "While this is a major accomplishment, it is a small step in the overall scheme of things with respect to this lawsuit. The war of attrition and seeking to exhaust the plaintiffs time, money, patience and resolve is just beginning."

Three ex-Scientology members filed the lawsuit in April 2022 against Miscavige and four additional Church of Scientology entities in a Florida federal court. The three who filed were wife and husband Laura and Gawain Baxter, who left the organization in 2012, along with Valeska Paris, who left in 2009.

The group claimed they signed a billion-year contract when they were children and were forced into labor for little or no money on Scientology cruise ships.

Paris additionally alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Scientology leadership.

As Fox News reports, "Gawain Baxter said his parents put him in a Sea Org nursery when he was two months old, according to the lawsuit. When he turned six, he was also forced to sign the one billion-year contract and sent to live in a Cadet Org dormitory with around 100 other children."

Miscavige has argued he never was served with the lawsuit although attempts were made in Florida, five different locations in California, and at four different phone numbers associated with him.

Jewish comedian takes a jab at Kanye West with Nazi joke

Guest hosting The Daily Show, Sarah Silverman makes audiences laugh, explaining why the famous rapper, who now goes by Ye, didn't join Rihanna during her Super Bowl halftime show

What do you get when you combine Rihanna’s talked-about Super Bowl halftime show, Kanye West’s antisemitic comments, and a Jewish comedian? According to Sarah Silverman, a very crude but funny joke.

Follow Ynetnews on Facebook and Twitter

Last week, Silverman guest hosted Comedy Central’s popular late-night television program The Daily Show, appearing in the latest episode that aired Monday.

Silverman began her opening monologue by talking about the Super Bowl halftime show where superstar Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy. During the medley performance, Rihanna sang her hit single “All the Lights” on which she collaborated with the rapper back in 2010.

“Some people were surprised Rihanna didn’t bring out Kanye West during all of the lights,” Silverman told the audience.

“But when you think about it, it makes sense,” she continued. “Because there wasn’t enough space for her dancers to form a Swastika.” The joke drew laughs and cheers from her crowd.

“I can say that because I’m a Nazi,” Silverman followed after her joke, taking a jab at both West’s inciteful remarks and her Jewish heritage.

Police: 9 Children Shot at Georgia Gas Station

Nine youths—including a 5-year-old child—were wounded after shots rang out at a gas station in a Georgia city bordering Alabama, authorities said Saturday.

Officers from the Columbus Police Department responded about 10 p.m. Friday and found multiple gunshot victims amid a large group of people.

Police Chief Freddie Blackmon said at a news conference Saturday that an altercation apparently took place at a party nearby and it spilled over to the gas station when the shooting began. Further details were not provided, but Blackmon said the incident remained under investigation.

“I am committed to assuring you that we will find the person or persons responsible for this senseless crime,” he said.

Blackmon said detectives have spoken with witnesses, some of whom are cooperating—while others are not.

“I encourage anyone with information to contact police. I encourage parents whose child was injured in this incident to make sure that any information they share with them is shared with police. We will work around the clock to resolve this case,” he said.

The victims, whose names were not released, ranged in age from 5 to 17. Seven males and two females were hurt, police said. As of Saturday afternoon, at least four had been discharged from hospitals where they were treated, Blackmon said.

Authorities said none of the injuries appeared life-threatening.

Blackmon urged parents in the community to “know where your children are and what they have in their possession.”

“We must work toward helping communicate to our children how to peacefully resolve conflict without resorting to gun violence,” he said.

“I’m so grateful to God that we didn’t have anyone lose their life,” Mayor B.H. “Skip” Henderson III said. “I’m tired of seeing folks having a disagreement or argument or maybe even a fistfight who then think they have to reach for a gun. That’s just got to stop. We’ve got to find a way in the community to reclaim our young people.”

No arrests have been made, and Blackmon did not indicate whether detectives have pinpointed any suspects.

Columbus is located about 110 miles southwest of Atlanta and about 85 miles east of Montgomery, Alabama.

IT worker at prestigious Sydney school charged with possessing child abuse material

Staff laptops at a prestigious school had to be returned after an IT worker was allegedly found with child abuse material.

A former employee at a prestigious Sydney girls school has been charged with possessing child abuse material at his home and workplace and is banned from accessing the internet while on bail.

Michael Mowbray was working as an IT officer at North Sydney Girls High School, on Sydney’s north shore, around the time he was charged with four counts of possess child abuse material in November.

According to court documents seen exclusively by NCA NewsWire, police allegedly found child abuse material between 11am and 3pm on November 23 at Crows Nest.

They also allege that they found more material at the 29-year-old’s Richmond home the following day.

NCA NewsWire understands his employment at the school ended shortly before his arrest, and a source told NCA NewsWire that staff at North Sydney Girls were asked to hand in their school-issued laptops to the IT department after Mr Mowbray’s arrest.

Mr Mowbray was arrested about 2.20pm on November 24 before he was taken to Chatswood Police Station and charged at 11.52pm.

Police conducted a search warrant and located the child abuse material both “at his home and his workplace”, court documents state.

“The (alleged) offences are quite serious,” the documents state.

“They involve the possession of child abuse material. However, the images that police have located appear to be on the lower end of possession material.”

The IT worker was granted strict conditional bail, with police saying he has no criminal history and has “strong ties to the community”.

According to the documents, Mr Mowbray could be facing time in custody if he is convicted of the charges.
