There need be no divorce. There is one valid interpretation of the Constitution. That is the essence of written law. If the law can mean whatever the hell some insurgency of office claims it means, then there's no law, just arbitration by offices.
That means a significant demolition of the federal government and returning of many authorities to the states. When that happens, the "blue states" will implode and by no means should any pity be afforded to them, nor should their ways be allowed to propagate. The beatings will continue until the lessons are learned, and if that means those states completely collapse to the point of being bought out by surrounding states, then that is their fate.
Although, to be perfectly honest, I rank the democrat party as an unlawful insurgency and believe they should be militarily purged and not allowed to hold states hostage - but that view is very unlikely to be accepted by the general public.
