Thomson Reuters, a Far-Left Propaganda Arm, Receives Funding from the U.S. Department of Defense for ‘Active Social Engineering Defense Large-Scale Social Deception’ — Elon Musk Responds
Thomson Reuters Corporation, the parent company that both owns Thomson Reuters Special Services LLC (TRSS) and the far-left propaganda arm Reuters News, has been funded by none other than the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
Recent investigations have revealed that Thomson Reuters Special Services LLC was awarded a contract by the Department of Defense titled “Active Social Engineering Defense (ASED) Large Scale Social Deception (LSD).”
Thomson Reuters Special Services LLC (TRSS) is a U.S.-based subsidiary of Thomson Reuters that provides software and information services to U.S. government agencies.
TRSS reports to an independent Board of Directors and operates under the oversight of the U.S. Department of Defense to offer classified and sensitive services to the U.S. Government.
The contract, identified as FA865018C7886, was awarded in 2018 with a value of approximately $9.1 million. You can view the contract details at USASpending.gov.
The ASED program, initiated by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), aimed to develop technology capable of automatically identifying, disrupting, and investigating social engineering attacks.
Social engineering attacks involve manipulating individuals into divulging confidential information or performing actions that compromise security. These attacks exploit human psychology and trust, often bypassing technical security measures.

Foreign Aid Agencies Awarded $27 Million To Group Helping Leftist Protesters Avoid Jail
Federal agencies tasked with giving out foreign aid have allocated more than $27 million for activist groups that also support legal defense efforts for leftist protesters in the U.S.
The State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded the funds to the left-wing Tides Foundation and Tides Center across several presidencies, federal spending records show. Conservative organizations and politicians are now scrutinizing how the agencies spend taxpayer money after President Donald Trump announced a review of foreign aid projects and shut down USAID.
“If a conservative donor-advised fund like DonorsTrust was raking in million-dollar grants from a government department the Left and the media would be hysterical with outrage,” Parker Thayer, investigative researcher at Capital Research Center, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Tides is about as left-wing as a donor-advised [fund] can be, and has no business receiving a penny of federal grant money, no matter what cause the money is being funneled to through them.”
The State Department and USAID allocated the funds as early as 2014 to groups under the Tides label that help drive anti-police, anti-Israel activism. The purposes of the awards include “humanitarian activities,” supporting “civil society organizations” and other projects both foreign and domestic, according to official descriptions. The government has paid the Tides groups 72% of the grants so far.
The Tides Foundation did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

State Dept. to Acquire $400 Million in Armored Tesla Cybertrucks.
Tesla is expected to secure a significant contract from the U.S. State Department for armored vehicles, according to government procurement plans for 2025. These plans allocate $400 million for the purchase of Tesla armored vehicles, though the exact model is not specified. The Cybertruck, with its durable stainless steel construction, is considered the leading candidate due to its suitable features for armor enhancements.
Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, leads President Donald J. Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk contributed over $250 million to support Trump’s election after initially lending support to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s bid for the Republican nomination. The anticipated acquisition of Cybertrucks by a federal agency will likely see conflict of interest allegations leveled against the tech mogul.

Final Report: The Weaponization of the Federal Government
December 20, 2024
Press Release
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released its final 17,000-page staff report detailing the Select Subcommittee's findings about the Biden-Harris Administration's weaponized federal government.
https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/final-report-weaponization-federal-government
Through its oversight and investigations, the Select Subcommittee found numerous instances of the federal government being weaponized against the American people. For example, the Select Subcommittee: :
Highlighted censorship by Big Tech that led to Mark Zuckerberg admitting Facebook was pressured by the Biden-Harris White House to censor Americans.
Empowered whistleblowers to come forward and have their voices heard despite retaliation by the Department of Justice and the FBI.
Protected the First Amendment, leading to the dissolution of the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) and other organizations that worked to censor Americans' speech.
Revealed the weaponization of federal law enforcement against the American people, leading to important policy changes from the Department of Justice and IRS.
Uncovered evidence that the Biden campaign coordinated with 51 former intelligence officials to interfere in the American electoral system weeks before the 2020 presidential election by signing the statement calling Hunter Biden's laptop disinformation.
