The “social contract with public health” began when the Church of Rome prohibited early Christian families from “loving thy neighbor” & created “Samaritan corporations” to consolidate the theocratic State’s wealth & power as an “institution” counterfeiting the good works of Christ & subordinating the laity to the priesthood.
The irony is that Tyson misrepresents himself as a noble scientist in pursuit of Truth while in reality he is merely a high priest in the Church of Scientism whose status is determined by his ability to effectively parrot what the institution has declared as its dogma to the masses.
Science when done correctly is coherent perceptual refinement of what we wish to understand. Its an extension of our critical thinking as human "beings."
While the accumulation of written knowledge is a byproduct of this human endeavor, the knowledge produced should never be cherry picked by those with conflicts of interest and declared "settled science" aka [religious dogma]
