Obama Holdover Directly Disobeys President Trump’s Coronavirus Orders Putting Lives at Risk

Dr. William Walters, who is an Obama holdover just recently disobeyed an order from President Trump and decided to do his own thing with the people who were infected with the coronavirus.
Walters is the Executive Director and Managing Director for Operational Medicine for the Bureau of Medical Services at the U.S. Department of State.
Walters ignored his order from the President and allowed sick Americans infected with the coronavirus, to return to the U.S. from Japan. What’s worse is that he even bragged about it.
Frontpage Magazine reported:
Dr. William Walters is still on duty. In 2017, Walters was boasting of prepping more Ebola evacuations even over President Trump’s opposition to the practice. And he was once again at the wheel now.
“The question was simply this: Are these evacuees?” Walters explained the decision to evacuate coronavirus patients to the United States. “And do we follow our protocol? And the answer to that was yes on both accounts.”
Consulting President Trump was not part of the protocol even on a major national security issue.
In a Congressional briefing, Walters boasted that, “the Department executed the largest non-military evacuation of U.S. citizens in its history. The safe and efficient evacuation of 1,174 people from Wuhan, China and people onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan is a testament to the agility, proficiency, and dedication of our workforce to accomplishing our core mission – advancing the interests of the American people.”
Dr. Walters rationalized his decision to override the President and the CDC and allow individuals sick with the coronavirus to return to the US:
It’s important to remember this was an emerging and unusual circumstance,’ said Ian Brownlee, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Consular Affairs.
‘We had 328 people on buses, a plan to execute and we received lab results on people who were otherwise asymptomatic, un-ill people on a bus on the way to the airport.
‘The people on the ground did exactly the right thing…in bringing them home.’
This is another example of why we need to drain that Washington swamp. They are worthless and disloyal to their President.
Time and time again those holdovers from the Obama administration have proven themselves to be worthless pieces of trash that do what they want.
