Along with her professional expertise, Sarah is a proud transgender female, who is the parent of a child born in the city of Las Vegas. Sarah's son is a high school student attending a CCSD school. These experiences have given Sarah the ability to empathize with those who faced both pandemic related struggles, along with acknowledging the many groups have been left behind through systemic and ongoing societal failures, and generation after generation of governmental policy that has favored one demographic of the populous over others.

With the nation having emerged from a fractious four years, now is the time for leadership to be seen and felt at all levels. And nothing matters more than making certain Las Vegas is at the forefront of this national renewal, uniting people from across every precinct and ward in order to create a glistening mosaic befitting our jewel of a city.

Adolf Heusinger was born in Holzminden, Germany, on August 4, 1897. He joined the German Army and served throughout the First World War.

Heusinger remained in the army and soon after the outbreak of the Second World War was promoted to colonel and appointed chief of operations at the OKH. When General Kurt Zeitzler became sick in June 1944, Heusinger became temporary army chief of staff and was standing next to Adolf Hitler when the bomb planted by Claus von Stauffenberg exploded on July 20, 1944.

Heusinger, who was slightly injured in the blast, was arrested by the Gestapo and accused of being involved in the July Plot. He appeared before Roland Freisler and his People's Court on August 7, 1944. Although there was evidence that Heusinger had contact with many of the conspirators, he was exonerated, but he was not allowed to return to his senior post in the German Army.

After the war, he played an important role in NATO and was chairman of its military committee (1961-64). Adolf Heusinger died in 1982.

Currently, a major response is underway as multiple emergency crews are responding to a uranium fire at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The Y-12 complex has confirmed that the material involved in the fire was a compound of uranium officials say the public is not in any danger.
